I know for a fact backers were their wanting to take over but this has now seemed to have fell through as they wanted to take over lock stock and barrel but the existing promotion didn't want that, Shane really as I think they would of been more in touch with what the fans want.

i had a lot of respect for the guy in the late 70s and 80s as a rider and manager but since hes taken over things have gone from bad to worse. although we seemed to field a good line up this year we lack ambition and everything seems to be done on a shoe string. time to for some new backers and new ideas instead of just existing

I didn't for one minute think we had a chance but you guys obviously did trawling a thread not involving Newcastle

You know the bitterness runs very deep between the two clubs and has done as far back as I can remember (the 70s) so I wouldn't of been surprised if the boot was on the other foot to hear it from the jawdee fans, you know theirs no love lost. commented earlier in the thread if you look giving you lot a weather forcast before the meeting (thats how nice i am ) would you lot be the same if it was another team shouting at one of your riders ? the play off system is utter bollox and something ive never been a beliver of i have to ask myself if we even deserve a spot after squandering point after point all season with a team that was very very capable of trouncing all and sundry all year we threw away meetings that should of been won because certain riders didnt turn up or were to preoccupied with riding for better money for their elite teams and not giving it 100% for redcar

And it wouldn't be the first time a crap Glasgow side spoilt the party for bears/tigers side over the years either

we were absolute garbage you wouldnt think we where near the top of the league with that performance. for me the most entertaining part of the night was watching a track marshall chase a carrier bag down to the first bend.
