just because the thread is titeld workington 2024 does not mean its not of interest to genuine speedway fans all around the country and world theres some user names i recognise and respect and others i just know will disagre with anything others post but anyone can post on a open forum and they might even have a connection to 1 off the riders personaly so it might concern them

sometimes holding back does not keep the interest up it can have the opposite effect and frustrate people enough to loose there interest dont play games with the people paying the bills

I intend going every meeting I can regardless off what team we have Id say I've missed about 12 meetings since Tony mole and Ian Thomas started back up at derwent Park You never know when your gonna miss a good or poor meeting

What I've seen of anders Rowe Id not be too worried Infant id rather have him than batch

if workington go through the season and it pays its own way i see that as a good season then the new riders will be club assets and be stronger for 2025 no one wants to finish bottom of league and get hammered at home but if they have good racing and decent crowd then ill be happy enough

i see young denham similar manager to ritchie hawkings i know ritchie rode but chris louis is no mug hes always there to over see things just like steve lawson is always there for advice

up until the last week or so this thread was mainly positive sadly its gone down hill maybe people are a bit lost with being off work over the so called festive period hopefully it will get back to speedway in a few days

Also a reserve can be in any of the 15 heats if going well or other riders are injured/missing So programed rides don't mean much A struggling reserve often only gets 3 rides if the other is riding well
