Fat finger syndrome - as I'm sure all reasonable posters realised.......Embarrassing none the less. Lasse Bjerre is a Poole asset. There is a small change to the double-up protocol for 2017 which protects Clubs who retain riders season-on-season, which gives Scunthorpe priority over Lewis Kerr.

COVENTRY are pleased to announce two more signings for the 2017 season – with Lasse Bjerre and Josh Bates now confirmed for the club. 23-year-old Bjerre is the younger brother of earlier signing Kenneth, and joins the Buildbase Bees on a 6.64 average after racing for Redcar in the Premier League this year. In previous campaigns, however, that average has been over eight and the Bees are confident in the Dane’s ability to perform for them in the new SGB Premiership. British Under-21 Champion Bates, meanwhile, returns to Brandon after an impressive debut season in Coventry colours which made him a wanted man throughout the league. And the two riders are also set to be team-mates at Championship level as Bjerre is joining Bates in the Sheffield line-up next year. Promoter Mick Horton said: “Seven of the nine clubs came in for Josh, so I feel very good about myself that he wanted to stay with us. “He came on in leaps and bounds this year and I think he’s only going to get better still. “I know Lasse wasn’t happy at Redcar last season, but he’s going to be totally committed here and I think having Kenneth around him in the same team is going to help greatly. “It went well for them the last time they rode together in the same side, and you know that with the family investment and all that goes with it they’re going to be on top equipment.” Bates and the Bjerre brothers join new captain Danny King in the Coventry line-up with three more riders to be confirmed, and those announcements are expected shortly.

That's not the case. There is no limit to the number of double-up riders in a Premiership team, there is however a maximum of two double-up riders from a particular Championship team in each Premiership side.
-
Which is the same thing of course!
-
Each Premiership club can use a maximum of two riders from a particular Championship club, in your example all seven Ipswich riders could, hypothetically, double-up, but would be spread over a minimum of four Premiership Clubs.
-
The is no restriction on the number of double-up riders in a Premiership team, there is however a maximum of two permitted from any Championship team.

When I left on Saturday night the circus was congregating outside the stadium turnstile block.

Appearances as No 8 (who can only take the RR rides) do not count towards a rider's average. (Art 16.2.1)
-
That's Josh Marsh, who's been helping out with the music for a while now.
-
You're not wrong Gemini, Henry wasn't at the meeting.
-
I was there, we aren't both always able to attend every meeting - the day job and families sometimes get in the way That's one reason why each Club has a minimum of two promoters.

Lakeside "squad System"
NeilWatson replied to speedwaysliders's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Correct, but only for the play-off ties, not for the remaining league fixture. -
They both started on assessed averages as they had established MAs from previous seasons. http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/el16_issue_2.pdf See the top right panel
-
They both started with an assessed average.

When the averages are identical the order remains as per the previous Green Sheet, so I woułd assume Bjarne remains at reserve. (Art 16.3.1).

COVENTRY are pleased to announce admission prices for Fridays double header at Brandon have now been set at ELITE LEAGUE PRICES ONLY. The Buildbase Bees host Lakeside in a re-arranged EL fixture, which will be immediately followed by the National League clash between the City Gearboxes Storm and Mildenhall which was initially scheduled for that date. The club have now confirmed admission for the full schedule, which gets underway at 7.30pm, will be £17 for all adults, with no additional charge to cover the Storm fixture. The Elite League match holds much significance for Lakeside, who almost certainly require away points to reach the play-offs, but a major boost for the Bees is that No.1 Krzysztof Kasprzak will be available for the clash. Kasprzak is Wild Card for the Grand Prix of Poland at Gorzow in Saturday, and has elected not to practice on his home league circuit in favour of racing for the Bees against the Hammers. Kasprzak has unavoidably missed recent away matches at Leicester and Lakeside due to his participation in the Speedway Euro Championship series, but has already twice raced for Coventry on the day before those meetings when they would otherwise have had no guest or rider-replacement facility. Such a facility would be available on Friday to cover the Grand Prix event, but naturally all at the club are delighted to have their No.1 available for the meeting. Coventry promoter Mick Horton said: Its been a pleasure to have KK riding for us this season, and this is another real show of commitment from him to the club which I know our fans will be pleased to hear. Hes been an excellent No.1 for us and right from our talks last winter it was clear that he was keen to re-establish himself as one of the top men in the sport, which he has very much achieved. Kasprzak therefore lines up at No.1 as usual for the Bees, who will operate rider-replacement for GP regular Chris Harris. For Lakeside, Andreas Jonsson is missing for the same reason and is replaced by former Coventry skipper Scott Nicholls, whilst rider-replacement operates for Richard Lawson whose fixture for Glasgow takes priority. Supporters attending the National League match ONLY on Friday should note that this meeting will be charged at regular NL prices - £12 for adults, with entry available during the brief interval between EL and NL matches.

Coventry Bees Speedway Fans Facebook page, my post from yesterday: I can assure you that postponing a meeting on race day is done with the utmost thought and the greatest reluctance. We incur significant cost on every postponement, cost which increases as tapes-up approaches. We also have to take into account the prevailing weather all around the stadium - running with a minimal crowd because everyone assumes it is going to be off does us no good at all! We had prepared the track for rain, and as I said at 8.30am we intended the meeting to go ahead. Over the next 3 hours or so it became apparent that racing tonight was becoming less likely, and at some point a decision has to be made that inconveniences the fewest people and costs the Club as little money as possible. This decision is made by Mick or me, and once it is made that decision has to be final, whatever else may then happen with the weather. As David rightly points out, tonight's postponement means that we have to use a date that we had previously left unused for EL fixtures. As the league cut-off point approaches, with restricted stadium availability due to the prestigious Stock Car World Cup meeting, the GP programme resuming and any rearranged fixture losing rider priority to the Premier League; next Friday is not ideal but better than the alternatives. I hope you will all continue to support the Bees as we move towards the end of the season, although results haven't been as we hoped, we have certainly provided excellent entertainment - and surely that's what most speedway fans want?
