  1. Danny had a hand injury so it had to be managed, so he took fewer ht 15s. Danny is a quality rider, but he is also good with younger team mates giving advice and helping. He's a great team man.
  2. It's difficult to judge because all teams will lose a strong number 5. One thing for sure is we (if that's the team) will have strong reserves, I can see Jody getting into the main body of the team fairly quickly. Most of the team will be capable of improving their average, Jake Jason Ace and Jody.
  3. I would take a chance on Riss, he's a 9 point rider on a 7 point average, however if he did have a recurrence then I wouldn't wait, get a rider in on a 28 day contract, and then if necessary re re-declare if needed.
  4. Sadly, it's official that Danny King won't be in The Bears team next season due to the one rider over 8 point rule, It was announced at the Redcar awards do last night. He said his farewells and received a standing ovation from the supporters. It's unfortunate when rule changes force riders out of a team place. That apart it was an excellent evening, and good to see Erik there looking well.
  5. The lads (from both teams) did brilliantly on Sunday, very wet and cold, but the lads got stuck in and produced some good racing. The ref offered to call the match after ht 10, but the lads wanted to finish the meeting, great credit to them. I'm always surprised by the lack of people who go to watch The Tigers in the NDL, more often than not the racing is good. And there's a chance of seeing young riders develop through the ranks.
  6. No team assets now. Riders are all self-employed.
  7. I think Redka ran out of options, Many of the Aussies have gone or have packed away ready to go, Jake Allen is still feeling the after effects of his big off. And Leon Flint's average is something like 0.01 to high to guest.
  8. That's irrelevant. The rules cover a drawn match. They are perfectly clear. I agree it's not the best way to qualify for the final. But rules are rules.
  9. There have been several bikes go over the fence, Greg Blaire on the first bend (pre air fence) Daniel Nermark, again pre air fence, and Vinny Foords landed on top of the fence 3rd bend, although fortunately none of them went into the crowd.
  10. Because 2 4-2's are 2 heat advantages, and a 5-1 and a 3-3 is one heat advantage.
  11. Ace was pushed into the fence by Tobias Thompson who was excluded.
  12. Hopefully, none of the spectators were seriously hurt. It was an awful crash. From what the ref was saying it goes to a ballot. This might change of course with further investigation.
  13. I think the probable reason would be he would have had to change the rear tyre.
  14. Charles Wright Danny King Erik Riss Jason Edwards/Jordon Jenkins Danyon Hume Jake Mulford Freddie Hodder
  15. It's going to give the Semi Final of the KOC a little extra 'spice' on the 4th and 6th. On the incident, I think the ref got it right, Nichols locked up in front of Wright, leaving him nowhere to go.
