Although not televised, for me the most interesting meeting in this round is Tarnow versus Gorzow. Sparta Wroclaw has apologised for the state of the track for yesterday's meeting against Falubaz which was watched by a crowd estimated at 10,000. That's a very decent crowd for Wroclaw, but the most remarkable thing about it is that fully a fifth of the crowd were from the Green Mountain.

He gets his GP chance on Saturday. Perhaps he's saving spectacular tumbles for then, as he didn't manage any tonight.

Better than Kolodziej, although that's not saying much. He won Ht 14 and that was about it.

Torun, it seems, resisted signing off the referee's report on the meeting, apparently furious at a decision to exclude Holta from Ht 14. They did eventually sign, but are going to write to the Ekstraliga authorities tomorrow. Regarding track issues, the chairman of Torun has declared that the new silencer may not be as dangerous as some of the tracks being prepared in Poland.

Regarding an earlier reply I gave, while Martin Vaculik is, at the minute, a Slovak, it seems he's not far away from following Rune Holta and becoming a Pole. Good news for the Swallows, as I believe it will mean Vaculik will be able to ride as a junior.

Great ride from Pavlic to round off the meeting. It was a good meeting, in spite of the scoreline.

Thought Pavlic and Zagar were buddies? Zagar harder on the Croat there than Nicki P was in Ht 11. Very uncompromising stuff from Zagar. Gorzow want this a hell of a lot more than Leszno do.

Nicki P was a lot harder on Pavlic in Ht 11 than he was on anyone in Ht 9. The difference being that Pavlic gave as good as he got and got the better of the former world champion.
