  1. The weather ruined this one, despite only starting at 3pm, it never stopped and the track became worse as the meeting wore on. Taylor Poole looked fairly poor, perhaps not even fit although the lovely Christina in the box gave him every help possible with 3 goes at ht5, despite having fallen on his own at the first running. Tungate too didn't look too clever in his first ride, although then being withdrawn with sore baws you can't really blame him! Its another 3 points on the board for Glasgow if anything. Interesting news during the match that an offer was made for the club last week, but not accepted. Glasgow also seem to have to find a significant amount of money by the end of the month to pay back creditors for the track alterations last year. Could be a long month!
  2. Another tough one, hopefully as exciting as Somerset last week. I don't think Ipswich will be a strong as Somerset though we have to get going right from the start. Josh conceded two 5-1's in his first two rides last week, hopefully someone has had a word for this one. Mason also can't be any worse than last week though the Witches may just take a point.
  3. Perhaps only if he were to save the track from closure. He did isolate quite a few people along the way with his antics. Reading the press release perhaps a new buyer or buyers has already been in talks and this is the first stage to making it public or trying to push it along. Peter Waite did the same when he was finishing up with messages of last chance to save the club etc etc.
  4. Thats painting a pretty picture for those who weren't there. Despite the scoreline Plymouth were never in the hunt and were gifted points when Campton came off in ht12 when on a 5-1 with Grajczonek. Glanz on his last visit scored 4+1, including two last places. Hardly match winning and he would have been unlikely to beat Campton on current form.
  5. Been there the last time Rusty retired and I'm sure he never saw out a month. However he would be far better than the misfiring Sitera however I doubt averages would allow as it would also mean dropping Mills and bringing in a 3 pointer.
  6. Got a broken leg in 2005 when with Edinburgh and a serious knee injury in early 2010 that keep him out for almost 2 years. If he can gate on the small track that Plymouth is he should be fine. Bowden says he is looking for a couple of points a match and even in his poorest ones for Glasgow, Robert was still getting that. Maybe a fresh venue is just what he needs.
  7. And the rule in 2006 that reserves stayed as reserves all year. His performance and that of Kauko Nieminen helped Glasgow achieve their highest PL placing to that point.
