He has a visa, he needs some bit of paper to go with it to allow him to ride in our league. He had got the same to ride for Kings Lynn before the Meet the Riders night and expected to to receive clearance to ride in our league in the next few days. Anyway he turned up for P&P so that must count....lol -
mmm
-
Someone was on the track last night, could hear them. Probably someone local practising.
-
Off topic I know....Jason Doyle also injured today, in Poland. Knocked out and taken to hospital. Hope he’s ok.
-
My mistake, that amused that he’s apparently a Comet I boobed ps Thought this had been put on days ago
-
I think we’re limited in what can be done cos he hasn’t rode for us this season yet.
-
Hope he recovers soon, doesn’t sound good though.

Yeh, I seen both teams at full strength too. Comets had call off on Twitter over 3 hrs ago, weather forecast changed. Disappointed there was no mention on Border news last night after good coverage last week. It is raining now and has been for a while. Will Chris Harris always drive to Glasgow or is it feasible to have bikes there and fly from Exeter sometimes? -
Best wishes to Worrall, hope he recovers soon. It's a problem for Championship clubs too when one of their team gets injured in the Premiership, unfortunately that's speedway these days.
-
someone asked at the riders night if the forum would be back, Laura said it was taken off for maintenance but they weren't sure if it would be back. She hoped it wouldn't be because the negativity could put would be sponsors off.
-
Used to be, not now.
-
It was initially taken down for maintenance I believe.
-
Oh dear, on local news programme. “Workington Comets rider Charles Wright came second in the Cumberland Open”.....
-
Apparently the new ticket system is a joint Comets and Town thing.
-
Been a bit of rain, fair now and looks to be brightening up.
-
Ty Proctor has had to pull out because he hasn't received a document to ride in our league, held up in post though the one for the Premiership has come. Charles Wright has stepped in, shame about Ty but happy with replacement. On Comets website.

I doubt Super League rugby would be cost effective without Sky money, not panicking, no point. Looks like good dry weather for Saturday, roll on.

Rule change - better or worse?
comet49 replied to 4thbender's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Do they ever think about the effect of rules? I don’t need an answer. -
Perhaps not but if outside investment came in who knows. There was an article last week about a businessman from Salford saying Cumbria should have Super League. I passed a new stadium (2012) on Sunday very near to the M60 motorway where Salford and Sale play. Can't see Town and Whitehaven merging, the meeting with the council was a Reds initiative.
-
Workington Reds and Workington Town are in discussions with the council about playing in one stadium. I’ve heard talk tonight it would be a new stadium and that Reds (football) wouldn’t want a track between them and the fans. It’s headlines in the local rag but not on their website yet. No mention of the Comets.

Nicolai Klindt, Rasmus 2 and Dan 4.
-
Ben Barker, Rory Sclein and Simon Lambert named as the last 3 riders for the Cumberland Open. Season ticket holders from any club pay only £10 admission, good line up too.
-
He’s been announced to ride in the Cumbrian Open
