SORRY IN THE WRONG SECTION AND THERE IS A POSTING OF THIS MEETING IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP SECTION -
What now for Boxall,,its all gone very quiet ?
-
With regard too how good or bad the racing is at different tracks...One things for sure posters opinions are nearly all biased towards their own tracks ..and I do include myself in that observation......
-
Like city rebel i have never seen a good meeting at Ipswich in the 60+ yrs of involvement with Speedway ...But then again my visits are only occasional..No track has great racing every night including Lakeside where i do not miss a meeting,,but mostly i think the racing compares favourably with all the other tracks i have been to in my life.....
-
A good crowd saw an excellent nights racing,,Morris back to his best ..Lawson somewhat unlucky not to score his usual,,Solid from Ellis,,some battling passes from Morley and Zach..Bowtell improving especially when nursed round by Morley for a win in heat 2 ...,,Newman is looking a little short of regular racing but chipped in with 4 points.....For the Witches Nichols battled hard for his 13 points but little back up except for Schlein 10 points ..Score 52 -37 ...Plus some encouraging words on the future from Jon Cook ...we will just have to wait and see what that will be,,,Fingers crossed........
-
What has happened to Max Clegg ,, 2 yrs ago you could bank on him being close to a max in this company ?...
-
Good performance from the IOW ....but makes you wonder just how bad are Stoke ?
-
..Solid performance from the IOW plus guests,, admittedly against a very weak Buxton side..

Lack of continuity of meetings is one of the main reasons the promoters are killing the sport...... -

I hope they have the sense to grade and soak the track the day before ,,,and again on thursday morning and afternoon,,or the dust will be a nightmare ,,...Still hope it is a ,, good meeting and safe for all the riders .. Bad track preparation in this very hot weather is causing many crashes ,,with the resulting injuries ....Come on you Hammers!!! -
Poor track maintenance is just another reason the fans are deserting this great sport in droves..It definately needs a massive shake from the top,....,Even that may now be to late to save the sport i have loved for 68yrs,,,,,
-
I see there are loads of fallers in tonight's meeting against Kent. Including the top boys,,is it safe . .?
-
Matertron who has posted on here,, was in the box as well said they all agreed with the decisions he made,,,If Carrington was along side the trainee ref why did he not put him right on these decisions,, i have to agree i thought at the time some decisions were not right
-
Thanks for your reply Matertron .however the fans in the area around me were getting wound up over the rolling starts that we're not being recalled .I agree about the track as more riders than usual we're riding the white line..For a trainee ref if that was the only criticism I guess he did ok...
-
Very enjoyable meeting and thats what you get when the visiting team give it a real effort ,,Impressed with Broc Nichol who had never seen the track before..Our top two were immaculate as usual.. and a good solid performance from Ben Morley,,.. with Kyle Newman also doing the job on his return from injury,,helped make up for Adam Ellis having a very rare off night ,,something was,nt quite right ,probably machinery related..There were a fair few rolling starts,,some got away with ,,and i wonder if there was a trainee ref in attendance ,,,Crowd looked a little up on recent meetings ,,probably an effect from the recent Rye House closure,,,lets hope it is temporary for Rye House and they can start up again preferably in the Championship if it is next season,,So our team marches on and there must be real hope that we can win the league this year.......
-
I think the Warriors will need some machine guns and a couple of tanks to take victory here...Joking aside even with Ben Morley back I can only see a big away win unfortunately,,but I hope it's a good meeting for the fans and safe one for all the riders ,at least they are not competing against football tonight.....
-
Was hoping Kyle would be back I hope it is not worse than first thought...still if the lower order do well I think we can still get something from this meeting....
-
As has been said Morley and Bowtell should do the job but the rest will need to step up for IOW to have any chance against a very powerfull Birmingham side with virtually 3 no 1s in the side,,,....
