  1. I believe the guy who was managing the team tonight has the licence to do the job so why not let the fans know he is the assistant team manager,,.Tatum is a busy man ,but Cook seems to have little interest at this level,,deflating for the riders ...
  2. Well what is the truth then ,,we should know/???
  3. Update sites not working does any one have the result?
  4. There must be some thing wrong with this track ,the only one,s who can ride it are signed to Belle Vue,,??
  5. This second leg is now poised to go to the wire ,,good luck to all the Hammers tonight..
  6. There will also likely. Be competition for the fans if Lakeside return to the premier league next season..How many wil return ? Will there be enough fans to make two clubs in close proximity financially viable..people do not have a bottomless pit to spend on speedway especially at the top level......
  7. The track staff do a brilliant job ,far better than previous years, .....All these riders missing in the play offs makes a mockery of the sport,,, the idiots running it must sort the doubling up problems out next season,or more fans will drift away ..
  8. If Bewley and Smith are indeed missing in the return match the whole thing could boil down to the guests on both teams....farcical !!!!
  9. Excelent meeting with young Jason Edwards having a superb debut meeting his 9+1 score include 2 wins by a mile..Ben Morley had to pass Liam Carr 3 times in tenacious stye on his way to a 15 point max ,,Solid performances from Max Clegg 11 points guesting,,,Hurry 7+1 unlucky with a bike problem when on a max with Edwards in heat 12 ...Alfie Bowtell 8 +1.points.inc 2 wins.....Laurence and Couzins 1 and 2 points respectively were their usuall slow selves, and i do not know why we did not include Locke who at least has a bit of dash about him ..Carr rode well for 12 from 6 rides guesting for the visitors ....Lakeside,s decent win score 53_ 37 may not however be enough to see them through to the final,,, with Belle Vue being superb at home .....Good Ref a decent crowd who witnessed the blooding of a15yr old Jason Edwards who hopefully will go on to be a great rider in years to come ......
  10. No doubt all you season ticket holders will get a refund if we do not make the final,,or maybe a free entry to the first meeting in the premier next season,,???????/////........Maybe not!!!!
  11. Weather supposed to be drying up this afternoon ..Track could be quite grippy tonight with the soaking it has had..Good guests all round should be some competitive racing tonight ,,dont miss what could be the last meeting here this season...
  12. Complete farce,,The BSPA and the club organisers need to get a grip before they completely destroy the sport ,,how much more can the fans put up with before they walk in large numbers .?
  13. Good luck to young Edwards on friday ,,you can argue who should have been dropped but who cares Jason is an improving, youngster that even in his first meeting could prove to be better than any of our bottom three judging on his race times ,Fingers crossed for the lad.....
  14. I am talking about one big league built to the same points limit. ,then split into north and south sections with a play off featuring the top two in each section.....the team strengths being between championship and premier level..
  15. I am all for a big north and south regional league ,,With the top teams facing one another for the championship,,i really think it is the way to go to save british speedway
  16. I am afraid our tail is way to long,no improvement all season .Sure we have the heat leaders and Alfie when he,s there,, to do the job.. but over two legs i doubt that will be enough...Still looking forward to fridays meeting and hope we can get enough points to make the return at Belle Vue interesting....
  17. I think plenty of the fans would be happy with a competitive championship league with its regular racing and reduced costs all round.compared to the1st division,,.i think Cook is and always was interested only in Premier league racing and why he appeared to show little interest in the National league this year
  18. Matt Williamson would be my pick to guest went well here and said he loves the track
  19. This meeting is being devallued by the minute.some of the replacements are a joke and so is the tyre supplier who should pay any fines incurred in the car park ,,The word shambles springs to mind. ,........
  20. What ever any one thinks about the track and it is not the best ,,but it is fair to all the riders being fairly neutral ..few have much experience on it ,and that makes it better than using a National league track...
  21. Can not see this working with so many fans gone to Rye ,how are they going to afford to support both teams ..the fan base will be split and the running costs are huge.....
  22. George Hunter was a victim of the averages, when they were looking to bring in Paul Hurry..He has blossomed at Kent and good luck to him,,...Hindsight is a wonderful thing ''''''''
  23. While other sides have managed to find promising youngsters capable of improvement,,some rapid ,others steady.. Lakeside have persevered all season with long time, none improvers,,And some. fans have found that to much to maintain their enthusiasm,,,.With a top end that can be part of a team at championship level ,i sincerely hope that will be the way to go next season..With fans lost to Rye House in the top level, who may not return ,i do not see how the Elite league would be viable ...and .another season of very limited meetings does nothing to keep the fans interested either...
