Laguta to qualify.
-
Not if I had a bet on him to win it, that would be a conflict of interest.
-
Shouldn't matter IMO, he should have gone thru with it. Its not about making money in a world championship it's about deciding who the best in the world are. For his own peace of mind, the other riders peace of mind and all the fans worldwide, it would have been great if he had took it upon himself to ensure the rules are being met. I would have become a fan of his straight away. Agree, he must of had reasonable reasons for such suspicions and already did the hardest part by making the protest. In a once a year world final the rules should be different. I dont believe the protest was about an oil catcher, as this would of had to be checked before the meeting at the bike inspection. If they had no problem with the lack of oil catcher then, why would you think it would be any different later on. It was something much more than that for Hougaard to declare his protest. He believed Bogdonov bike was over powered. The whole point of making a protest is to ruin someones championship. Just not your own. If his bike does not meet the requirements he should be disqualified. Why have certain requirements if you dont police them.
-
Shouldn't cost much for an engine test. How much were they asking for?
-
Why was their a protest about Bogdonov engine? Maybe he was too fast, his engine was too big. was his bike illegal?
-
His luck may run out in rd 3. Did you know anything about a protest against Bogdonov engine? Said Hougaard made a protest after his last ride against Bogdonov engine, on the updates. Also would be interested to hear what happened to Ward in his last ride.
-
They both should as should the winner opf the final round, but something tells me that would make too much sense for the FIM to implement.
-
lol... How was the meeting? Did you enjoy it? Nice weather for a change. What happened Madman Max??
-
THE FIRST ROUND WAS ABONDONED OR CALLED OFF - NO ONE WON IT.
-
Does anyone know how the points system works? If you dont get a bonus for winning a round it is an absolute travesty of justice. Why even have a run-off? there must be extra points for the winner surely? otherwise it will be another case of the FIM bottleing it badly.

Just proves what muppets must be running this sport. Most anticipated and fascinating couple of meetings for the whole year, and could easily be live on the internet at least. Or sell it to sky and divide the money between the competing riders. Wouldnt hurt the sponsors either.

You would think Bogdanovs is already half over the line, judging by the odds offered hahaha I guarantee Ward finishes above some of the riders with shorter odds than him. Sounds like deja-vu thats what they said about Pavlic last year. Riders choke and sometimes being a home rider they cant cope with the pressure, and they crumble, so it works both ways just ask Pavlic what happened last year in his own backyard.

Money for JAM. Im surprised the serious punters haven't hit them hard by now. As Ward is well and truly overs at 15.00 (decimal odds) as of this morning! Not sure of the form of the other riders but its irrelevant - Ward should be 7 or 8/1 IMO and at 15.00 it deserves to send them broke. Anyway I just hope the damn weather doesnt destroy another round, or theyll have to call it something else. Like mud bog speedway or weave around puddle speedway.

Im not fussed if it was dull or not, its the track that Im bagging. England will come last I guarantee it because like the Aussies they're not used to that crap and dont like it. edit: I may just watch the final so as to have a laugh. There wont be one drop of water added and only rain can help things, but most likely it will be laughable how slick that track is and how hard riders try and end up going backwards. If Holder cant evan catch the 3rd placed rider when on the 'Joker' hahaha What chance do you think anyone else has. you have to laugh.
-
Is your name Ole Olsson? The reason that ride was possible is the little dirt and dust from the whole track had finally settled right round the outside of the track and finally there was enough of it in one spot to actually get some traction which is what Chris managed to do. The rest of the track was like polished glass.
-
Nothing wrong with that, thats what it is for and where it should have stayed. It does not warrent a newspaper story that is for sure.
-
Holder was just having a fun ride, and couldnt care less. The battle that mattered was swe vs den which never eventuated. Gate and go, the swede was history,,,That was a two man race and was boring as hell....Holder was just there for fun. Neither the swe or dane gave a crap about Holder he was irrelevant. Meeting was already over. I think its actually the shape of the track aswell as surface. Track is shocking. Disaster of a shape and slick surface makes it worse.
-
Are you saying the track was good? are you saying the track was acceptable for such an important meeting? where was the dirt? why wasnt there any dirt?
-
sure it will be on utube altho prob with polish commentry. Oh well beats listening to Pearson for a change.
-
Dont remember 1 overtake except Batchelors collapse when he surrended 3rd on the line to the russian in his 2nd last programmed ride. The Captain Watt couldnt believe it!!! he was shattered. I now understand how fans of his EL clubs must of felt, when they bag the crap out of him. We must have differing definitions of 'fair bit' and 'good'. Didnt watch the last 2-3 races TBH as the meeting was decided and Ward had finished his night, but that was an obvious super slick dustheap with no dirt or drive possible and was way under watered. Follow the leader rubbish with barely 1 raceable line. Holder actually proved the more you try when behind the more you go backwards!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolute crap...when gating basically decides races why bother with 4 laps just make it 1 lap. Booorrrring CRAP.

Go through all the pages like I did and sift through all the comments about Darcy Ward.. proven wrong , hope they loose blah blah etc, and tell me what they are all on about? Ward can write what he wants on facebook its just a joke between your mates. Probably written more for motivation for him and his team than bad sportsmanship as the article suggests. Its just facebook not a formal statement for the paper. Tossers. edit: I said he was giving the fans some handy advice: soak it up while you can...... make the most of it!!! hahahhaha I dont know.
-
Right, he was actually giving the England fans some helpful advice, what a fine young lad. All it shows is whoever was responsible for leaking it to the paper and the person who published the article are Pratts. Worst sports story I have ever read. They are looking for trouble and trying to dent the character of a promising young rider. Do something urself before worrying about Darky.

Disaster of a meet. Boyce has to go. The joker had to be pulled out in ht10. By saving it for later it just showed he has no confidence in the boys to not need it later. From then on Aust seemed complacent to just hang around 6-7 points behind the leader for a while so they would have another chance to use it. And the pressure placed on Holder to win again when they finally pulled it out, was too much and he choaked. Ward started on fire and looked very comfortable, but when he didnt make a gate it was impossible to pass on that polished marble like surface. Ward needs grip to dominate meetings as his trapping is often poor, and that surface just killed him and all the Aussies TBH. It was quite likely a measured tactic by the danes, as the weakest part of that Aust team was their gating. They knew Aust could blow them away if it was a racers track with grip and shale present, so they did the opposite and gave them no chance to recover when they didnt trap well. A very poor ad for speedway and why do some people think Darcy was wrong? He just might of been suggesting England wouldn't be winning again.... any time soon and he has just stated the bleeding obvious and will probably be proven 100% correct. Seems like all of England got sucked in and thought he was infering something else.

Ward was far from being weak and produced the ride of the night to keep the meeting alive in the last round of heats, when he got the better of Woffinden. hahahhah . I wouldn't be surprised if Ward has a blinder and I predict he will be in the top 5 overall point scorers. For Australia he is the form rider at the moment. Very useful program and easy to print. Hard to beat!
