Redcar V Berwick 6th Sept
YAMYAMBANDIT replied to Catch Me If You Can's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Your point is ? I am fully aware of why both riders are not available, also our injury problems. The comment was simply aimed at our dear friend from Newcastle, Tsunami. Under the circumstances Berwick can only keep it's fingers crossed for Thursday night against Redcar. -

Easy, keep everything crossed my son -
I agree, 5 home & 3 away in the league and 4 times in th K.O.Cup. Probably what caused the confusion at the time, two rules one about the average, 4 home & 4 away in 2011. For asset building 12 times representing your club in a recognised competition, seperate rules. Still hope David is in the Berwick team next season, doesn't matter who he belongs to, except you may have to pay a loan fee.

Sheffield Vs Berwick 30/8/12
YAMYAMBANDIT replied to squall's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Have to agree with you, you have however forgotten to include Ricky Ashworth and Alex Egberg, that would be one hell of a team, with 6.9 left if the averages don't change drastically, which they shouldn't because of the rolling averages. -

Berwick site says Bjerre guest for Alden, and rr for Ricky -
Peter was born in Castle Hills Maternity Home, in Berwick, that makes him an Englishman.

Take it you are not a footie fan. just a religeous bigot, if we banned all religeons it would be a much nicer world As a foot note, Berwick Police reported no incidents of anything significant other than drinking revelry. it was certainly a good pay day for Berwick Rangers, and a good pay day for Berwick as a whole. I am not a football fan and did not attend, for me to be a proper sport it has to have an engine and travel between 100 & 200 mph, I however welcome events like this, as long as fans behave themselves, as they did on this occasion. And you know for certain I have not, always check your facts before you make a statement ;)

As you have already saved £6.50, including your saving next week of £4.50, a nice saving of £11. May I suggest, instead of extra pies, you have enough to purchase the new book from The Hairy Bikers, I can recommend it highly 'THE HAIRY DIETERS'. By giving yourself a 50% reduction in size, it will allow another person to come up on the 3rd bend, that has to be good for the club, now you can't argue with that can you. :D

Berwick V Plymouth Wed Aug 22nd
YAMYAMBANDIT replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Are you saying John is giving the press incorrect figures (no reason as turnout was much better than expected). It was also stated that the evening did not break even, but was not disappointed with turn out, Facts, Facts then there are Bigeddiecheck's -

About 700 plus crowd, of which approx 560 were paying participants. Probably about the same as recent meetings excluding workington. -
Well done on your new signing, he will do well for Workington.

Gp Qualifier Berwick 16/6
YAMYAMBANDIT replied to Warm&Cosy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well for what it's worth, I had a great night, speedway was improved by the copious amount of alcohol in the box, and served by a happy bunch of volunteers. For me a wise decision for FIM staff to take over track preperation, assisted by the Berwicks hard working track staff, lessons rarely come along for free, and I hope Razor & George took advantage of all of that knowledge they had at hand. One major criticism which has already been mentioned, I thought it an absolute disgrace that the collection was not made for Lee Richardson on a night when that level of crowd would have benefitted the cause. It is noted that the collection will happen at a later date, but with a possible crowd of about 600-800, it will not achieve what could have happened on Sat with a crowd around 2000. -

Then Monday would be the option, as Berwick do not have a facility for a Sunday, unless they were given dispensation for this meeting. If they have, it was not in the minutes of the planning meeting.# However, seriously hope it will happen tonight, it would be such a shame for those who have travelled up for it -

Screm, planning decisions are not decided by Berwick Council, they are made by The Unitary Authority for Northumberland at County Hall in Morpeth. Berwick have just applied for amendments to their planning stipulations, and in general have been passed. One request was for today, which was to allow practice sessions without the curfew of 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm, which was passed. The sceond was to change the stipulation of 4 rain off days on wednesdays, to any 4 days of the clubs choice, this was amended to any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, but not on a Sunday or a Friday. I am not aware they were given dispensation within the planning permission for this Sunday as that was not reported. Forecast taken from Met Office site at 09.00. 07.00 to 10.00 fog 10.00 to 13.00 mist 13.00 to 16.00 light rain 16.00 to 19.00 heavy rain, 19.00 to 22.00 heavy rain. 22.00 to 01.00 light rain. -
