  1. And they want to make a full time living after forking out tens and ten of thousands of pounds or euros on kit that promoters want and need them to have... And they want and need them to have the best kit to try and win competitions that the very same promoters then completely devalue by using an unfit for purpose operating model that they personally design... Forking out fortunes to earn even bgger money to live on, and all to win competitions that carry very little financial reward or media and sponsorship interest.. Could be a University Masters Degree Course somewhere unravelling all of the multiple layers of that as "a plan"...
  2. Track conditions would be called into question re fairness.. Although, once again, they shouldn't have to discuss such things as the rules should clearly be defined... Ridiculous that the commentary team cannot inform the viewers what the rules are of the pinnacle of the sport in the UK, as no one seemed to know...
  3. Regulation 101.00 "A British Final can be declared as "Completed" after 12 heats and a winner named"... Regulation 101.01 The winner will be declared by using the following criteria:- The rider with the most points will be declared the winner.. In the event of two or more riders having the same number of points? Can anyone think of anything? Anyone?
  4. Exactly what us avid followers of the sport will think....
  5. I think maybe having some written down "in the event of" rules may help the situation somewhat... You know. Like sports do.... I half expected Dan, Bomber and Tom to come out under brollies to the tapes and play "Rock, Paper, Scissors."..
  6. As the meeting was abandoned I am not sure it would have made a difference... I think the BSP will use the fact the track got called unsafe rather than "the meeting finished in heat 12", hence all that went before was decided to be "null and void"... Either way, a typically ill thought out scenario where a meeting can be called as complete but no written down way of deciding the very obvious possibility of riders having equal points and not having met... "Hello. Is that the FIM? Have you got a minute?"...
  7. We can declare the result if the meeting goes 12 heats.. So all we need to do now is decide a way of how we reach that result...
  8. You would think that if they have a rule that "12 heats constitutes a meeting", then maybe they would also have a scenario of what to do if riders tie? As they most likely will have that situation... Congratulations to Adam, explains why he got his hand shook 5 mins ago, and he is still there.. . Best of luck to him at Cardiff.. Maybe the BSP should think about having some kind of way of deciding these meetings when they decide "12 is ok"...
  9. Do what they used to do in the old Golden Helmet when it was "one each"...? Have a decider? Top four all back at the next Aces meeting? Four races so each get each gate? Scott gets fourth as he beat King?
  10. Maybe they are hoping for a break in the rain to do a track grade and run one race? It is only 9pm...
  11. Might have to do heads or tails? Or who has guested the most this season?
  12. Indeed.. But what a waste of a huge cash injection for the sport.. With the legacy being what we currently have...
  13. And the fans of virtually every other team in the country can also celebrate "their rider" winning....
  14. Several No1's pocketed some real top money from Sky's millions... Then promptly "foxtrot oscared" from racing in the UK the very second the money stopped...
  15. 100000%.... Hype! Hype! Hype!... It doesnt even have to be true... It just has to make enough people believe it is...
  16. Seem to think in individual meetings the mechanics always have bike No2 ready to race just in case anything happens...? If so. Not then..
  17. More passing already than in 4 days in Vojens... Let's hope rain doesnt impact it adversely... Dan.... And Crumpy on Comms...
  18. Dont think that there will be any doubt about that... Also, probably raced in front of a bigger crowd.... The Granstand's advance sales look around two thirds full already so that will be 1200 or so already booked.. Easily over 2000 on the cards which should give a decent atmosphere and look good "brand wise" for the sport, for anyone watching on TV...
  19. The National League often provided the best value for money racing in the country... Then it got stopped from doing so by lowering its level... A shame as it was very watchable and provided enough of a test for the better riders to still be a worthwhile benchmark in their progression....
  20. Is this genuinely seriously the plan? If so... Might as well have had it at Esbjerg... But if Sheffield pull out I suppose Buxton may take it on....
  21. Why would they need "hope"...? Surely it is a "given" the track will be built as it is part of the planning consent stipulation.. ? The MP should just have been asking "when will the track and stadium be built?"...
  22. It must be all down to pure luck....
  23. I think the clue was in the interview with Allen pre race when he said "collectively agreed"... There would have been some doubts voiced I am sure going 1/3 given the evidence in front of them that 2/4 was the better gates at that stage of the meeting.. It was noticeable that gate two in every meeting during the week became the best around two thirds in.... Still. Second is a decent result with plenty more to come from these two lads...
