These are good points. Many fans (me included) have drifted away from speedway over the years and maybe the "powers that be" need to address this issue just as much as attracting new supporters, after all, at least they loved the sport once in the first place.

Carter was the only rider I'd go to another track just to watch. He was a bums on seat star and as has someone else said, how speedway could do with that today.

I know you mean the top class, but we did have a MotoGP champion this year, the first for 38 years, Danny Kent in Moto 3.

Sorry to report the passing of Derek Timms after a short illness. He was a great servant to the sport and rode for many teams over the years, Cradley probably being his most well known. He was a smashing bloke and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

They both have talent in spades, they'll do a job at the heart of the club, that's for sure. I'd fit puns about jokers and packs in too, but I'd probably get decked.

A point well missed, just watch the way some riders treat their own national anthems, wherever they're from. I've watched them chatting to each other whilst theirs was playing. Disgusting isn't it?

As UKM says, NL riders fall regularly on well prepared tracks so making them race on a bad one is asking for it really.

Well I've been away most of the weekend, so I recorded the GP along with all the other 2 wheel action on offer. I watched MotoGP first, where there was some great racing and plenty of Brit success. Some good stuff in WSB too. Then I watched SGP................................ I now need a new fast forward button on my Tivo remote. Not happy.
