  1. Did the same myself, hate to say it but the ref got it spot on.
  2. It isn't just the website that is down, there has been no press releases from the promotion whatsoever, nothing on the BSPA site and nothing on here from Mr Vasey. The only previews and reports are in the local Stoke newspaper and they are written by Neil Evans.
  3. Think it was about this time last year it went down. It must be time to pay the bill again.
  4. The stoke fans were booing because he touched the tapes at the start and the ref missed it. They were booing the ref.
  5. The information coming from the Stoke promotion just lately is getting worse and worse. Since Derek Turner packed in the press officers job earlier in the year, the press releases have got a lot less informative and less often. Meeting previews have only been coming out on the day, and in the case of this meeting, we havent had one at all yet. Match reports are now non existant, only the riders scores are given out. As for James McBain, he should have been fit to ride weeks ago and nothing has been given out by the promotion as to if or why he is not riding. The promotion just want to keep their supporters in the dark as they dont seem to matter to them. I see the Cradeley promotion have even given their own preview out for this meeting, but nothing from Stoke.
  6. 19.9.2.1 A Rider with a PL MA of 6.00 or below if not declared in a PL 1–7 at the start of the season, although any such Rider who moves back into the PL will be ineligible if he has a PL MA of 5.00 or above. NB. A Rider with a PL MA of 5.00 or below joining a NL Team after losing a PL Team place may not remain in the NL Team if he subsequently gains a PL Team place,
  7. There arent many Stoke supporters left. I have hung in there for the last three years with the slightest hope that things could be turned around. I gave it a chance but this season i have totally had enough of the promotions antics, lies, unprofessionalism and lack of ambition. They couldnt care less who attends and who doesnt and have totally run the place down into the ground. Year by year, week by week, the fans attending has got less and less. It has got to the stage where every home meeting you expect an excuse as to why the meeting has been cancelled or put back a day. Do they think you can change your life around all the time to suite them.People go to work, have other commitments etc which have to be sorted out in advance. The current situation is just the tip of the iceberg for my reason not to attend speedway any more at Stoke.Perhaps this isnt there fault directly but when were the drains last cleaned out? Water accumulates on that first bend and doent drain away. Could this have been avoided? I would put money on it that next Saturdays stock car meeting goes ahead.I notce that even the long serving press man and announcer has also thrown the towel in this year, season ticket prices went up and they are charging for a programme this year which has been included in admission costs for years. Dont think it will be long now for the place shuts up shop for good.
  8. Pity GB arent in it. Every other country seams to be sending a team yet the BSPA are against it. Its on British Eurosport yet the British supporters are deprived to support our nation.BSPA should hang their heads in shame. No wonder we are behind other nations where speedway is concerned.
  9. It,s about time the club website was updated. No fixtures posted yet, even though they have been released elsewhere, last seasons riders listed, which was even out of date for last year, and photos on the home page from three years ago. All seams quiet from the commercial manager as well since last season; has she left or just no news cause there isn't any? How unprofessional can a club be run?
  10. 1 camerman on the centre green would get very dizzy and end up falling over.
  11. It,s red button time again folks. Sky Sports 4, Live Spanish Football at 5.00pm. If you read the info it states red button from 6pm. The repeat is Sunday lunchtime at 12pm.
  12. For those that dont know, Dakota is the son of former Stoke rider Rod North.
  13. Aren't you all forgetting one major advantage- Roof!
  14. Television, live television, is now part of speedway and all of us want this. As far as the top riders goes, in fact all riders on television, giving interviews is now part of the job, whether they have won or lost. No rider should ever snub the cameras, they are proffesional sportsmen who have supporters, sponsers etc. The mechanic tonight who gave the abuse should stick to his job what he is paid to do. And before anyone says my comments are anti-Crump, there is nothing more i would have loved to have seen than Crump to have won tonight (Apart from the Brits).
  15. Just addapted one which i think i downloaded from this forum, or could have been the ipswich one, cant remember. Post your e mail add and i will send it.
  16. In my opinion Cardiff should become a weekend event. Whats the point of laying a track for one meeting when it could be used for three. We all moan about the Elite League riders championship being on a Elite track and the Premiere League riders Championship being on a Premiere track, so why why not use Cardiff for both while the track is down for the GP? We could have the Premiere League Riders Championsip on the Friday night, the GP on the Saturday and the Elite League Riders Championship on the Sunday. Surely this would be cost effective to all parties and would provide neutral venues.
  17. Sure, we could build a purpose built, all facilities top notch stadium that would host all of our top events. Twelve months later, some high flying, big wig, multiple track promoter could then make an offer to the owners, move in and decide to run yet another EL team from there, and run all the big meetings as well. Back to square one.
  18. Can any rider in the team take these rides, or are they restricted to heat leaders, and also i remember reading something about nominated riders. Do they have to be nominated prior to the meeting, or has this rule now been dropped?
