Watched it on tv tonight couldn’t risk another 10 heats rain off shambles. Firstly hope Kerr is ok he looked in some pain, can’t afford to have him out the team for long. Holder, Sayfutdinov on top form both looked so fast, Emil really enjoys owlerton and don’t think anyone in world could have passed him tonight once he was in front. Rest of the team all chipped in all deserved credit. Tatum saying Ellis fell with no contact I think there was some but was a hard call for the ref. Doyle probably worst showing at Owlerton for a long time just wasn’t his night. Highlight of the night was Hawkins miserable face getting interviewed play offs all but secure for Sheffield?

King's Lynn Vs Sheffield 06.07.23

Solid performance from Sheffield 1-7… genuinely feel for KL fans it can’t be an easy watch. Heat 15 surely had to be Laguta? Klindt is a class rider but tonight obviously just wasn’t his night. Track can’t be to blame surely? Holder absolutely flying to 4 wins and rest of the Sheff team seemed to enjoy it -

We seemed in good form for half a meeting yesterday.. Holder gone 2 meetings unbeaten at KL I do believe so far can he make it 3/3 against Laguta and in form Klindt? I don’t think he will. Pickering and Kerr to wheelie together in heat 15 just to rub salt in the wounds 52-38 away win -
Sheffield v Peterborough Monday 3rd July
RideHard replied to InTheDeepStuff's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They were going to have an interval and some track work I’m guessing after the 10 min rain shower.. this was cancelled and they chose to race through heavy rain instead for 2 heats which obviously was going to be tricky for the riders. then blue skies, no track work even attempted, Simon Stead and a few of the Sheffield riders looking confused to say the least.. complete sh£t show. Peterborough worst team in league by a country mile riders refusing to ride the track. Sheffield promotion better come up with something for next Monday or nobody will show up -

What an absolute joke! Rushed through 2 races in rain to get 10 heats in. blue sky’s 15 min later… most of riders looked confused that they’d called it off… want my money back -

The last Russian to ride Owlerton did pretty well I hope Tarasenko can provide some good entertainment. Feel like the team was hurting after the Leicester meeting expecting some aggression on the track -
Sheffield v Leicester (Prem R1)

Big congrats to Leicester better team on the night. Jack Holder absolutely class kept us in it. Would have never believed Toby would not get a win from 5 rides. Have to give big credit to Sedgmen, was sad to see him go last year and he showed exactly what we miss this year. Pickering picked up after a poor start. Not sure what’s up with Ellis this year looks a shadow of the heat leader in 2021 really hope he can turn his season around. thought Leicester would be top 4, now I think they are the favourites to win the play offs. -
Would be good at home, away at Sheffield and BV. Just don’t expect any points away at the other tracks
-
Probably abit of both. My guess would be he’s been offered same money at both clubs and he’s chose Sheffield due to probable play offs and positive vibes at the club. Listening to round the boards podcast a lot of negativeness coming from KL this year understandably. He’ll slot in next to Jack Holder at 2 or riding with Adam Ellis which takes abit of pressure off him as a heat leader

Plymouth v Oxford - Tue 20th June - Champ
RideHard replied to Bojangles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Why no Gilkes in heat 15? Plymouth’s best rider by far on the night. Howarth not doing so great he’s not a number 1, he’s currently at reserve in the prem which should build his confidence back up. But don’t think he’ll be at Plymouth much longer -
Very good signing will bring balance to the away meetings and we know he rides Owlerton as well as Bellego
-
Very interesting match up, Sheffield been solid at home but Leicester got a team that rides Owlerton well. rumours of Pickering signing for the tigers which makes us stronger as he is better than a middle order rider and I’m sure he can do better than a 5 point average. always love to see Sedgmen ride I was gutted to lose him at the end of last year, Fricke is bang in form I suspect he will test Musielak and Holder. After such a poor away performance the bonus point is out of reach but think we’ll have enough to see off the lions. 50-40 home win

Wolves v Sheffield kc..19th June..
RideHard replied to Pauldoveyspeedway's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No way would Bellego have scored 8.. got off with one there. Into the final we go… Ellis 4 from 5 poor, and Howarth no wins from 7 rides made such hard work of it -
So Pickering to be announced tomorrow before the averages change?

Still think Wolves will win with or without Bellego. Need to keep it tight 18 points still isn’t a comfortable lead with how bad some of our riders go at MG. If Jack has a bad night could be very close -

Sheffield v Ipswich 15th June (A fixture)
RideHard replied to InTheDeepStuff's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sayfutdinov best rider in league absolute class act, Holder and Musielak no answer to him. racing at Owlerton has been decent this year, like previously said certain riders who are world class will trap and be gone that’s just this league. Why do certain posters on here have such a bad opinion of Jack Holder? He’s a fair rider on track and seems to be mates with everyone in the pits -

50-40 home win. Can see Sayfutdinov possibly going unbeaten, Holder been absolutely flying round Owlerton but this will be his biggest test yet. Can see the reserves struggling for ippo which will end up been the difference -
How’s Josh Pickering doing with his shoulder
-
Bellego surely on thin ice now after another 0 on the road. He wasn’t even close to been in the mix. The question is though who fits in?

Don’t think he was looking at King just making sure he’d won race.. chill out
