Poole Pirates Vs Leicester Lions 21/6/17

Look listen to the voice of authority, if SS Fuhrer says the track is good, then Poole have won. It's a simple equation! -
New Averages For 42 Point Limit
DunRobin replied to DunRobin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's his 2015 EL average, he didn't ride in 2016. No that is his 4/4 average on shown on 2017 averages on BSPA. Like I said they make it up as they go along. Zengota has been given his 2015 EL average, Klindt has ridden 3/5 but still gets an higher average than if they had taken the 3/5 average, which to me would seem fairer to Poole. Danny Grapmeir stays on a 4 average, not sure what they base that on. -
Is there an unadvertised loop to the Artic Circle that encompasses the Abbey Stadium. You're perfectly right, thermals are required wearing as the sun sets below the horizon at the Abbey. A thought, if they build a new track, can they incorporate underfloor heating?

New Averages For 42 Point Limit
DunRobin replied to DunRobin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Whilst you may be happy with his average, it seems to be in conflict with what the rule says in so much that the average may be given based on rides ridden. I'm aware that that part of the rule can produce some nonsensical averages but if they wanted to use some other formula, why oh why, did they not include in the recent rule addition? It appears that they are using the Poole method with rules, "make it up as you go along & fit it in to how it suits you. It was already written into the original rule & nothing was amended when the recent addition to the rule was issued. It appears that they are making their own rule up as they go along if you look at the averages for Somerset v Leicester meeting on Friday. -
New Averages For 42 Point Limit

Not according to the rule on SCB website. Should have, Could Have, no let's not be silly this is the BSPA! I beginning to think BSPA is the acronym for British Speedway Presumed Averages. -

New Averages For 42 Point Limit
DunRobin replied to DunRobin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
By the rules as is quoted "16.2.7 A SGB Premiership or Championship League rider will establish an MA after 4 Home and 4 Away fixtures, becoming effective 7 days after the last qualifying Meeting. Should an Established MA not be achieved to be effective from 1st May, then the MC may issue a revised MA, based upon actual rides if the Team re-declares. I know it says if a team re-declares but if any team has issued a re-declaration effective from 18th, then they would gain an advantage. The trouble is they made a massive cock up when they wrote the rule. How often do teams ride 4/4 by the 1st May, especially with all these d/u riders. -
I don't think he will be allowed back by the Polish authorities!
-
Classic case was Poole when even Leigh Adams came out & said they were cheating. He recalled riders virtually calling Opposition riders past. There was an outcry & the Speedway Control Board held an "enquiry"! The only people they questioned were Poole riders & management, a bit like a Court Trial where only the defendant was questioned & there was no prosecutor's questions!
-
All teams have completed the 4/4 but there are a few teams that have completed the 4/4 but only half of the riders have.
-
Is there any chance that the new averages for the 42 point limit, that were due to be issued by 1st May, will be issued before the cut off date for team changes? I see that they have issued a new regulation SR1705. This confirms a new points limit of 42 points to be used when the new averages are issued but mentions no date. It also confirms that any re-declaration requires that the team must contain 2 riders who have ridden or who are eligible for the NL.
-
I see that they have issued an updated regulation that confirms the points limit of 42 to be used when the new averages are issued but no date as to when!
-
How do you know that he was going to lose points money? It was fairly obvious to me that that there was a different attitude from our riders once they had a big enough lead. As our averages were dependent on that meeting & crucial for any team rebuilding, what's to say that they weren't paid for the points lost in the team interest. I don't know that there is any audit of the rider's wages.
-
While these are the averages on the BSPA website, surely they are not the averages that will be used as Doylie's average of 9.75 is based on 10 rides whereas the rule states 4/4 not 4/6. As I read the rule they will have to use the 4/4 average & ignore the last 2 away scores. The same would be said for the other riders that have ridden 4/6. When will the BSPA change the averages for the 42 point limit as the present GSA shown is for the 52 point limit.
-
No you never do. We should nickname you "Always Right Shovlar". Just like your politics.
-
No approximately! Not a lot changes then!
-
Agree that this makes sense but the BSPA didn't see any logic & did not put it in the rules. As the rule is written if Poole let Zengi go now, any side could re-declare & get a new average for him based on 2 rides.
-
Not sure that the last bit is relevant because any club with any sense will just re-declare to get the lower average. There are quite a few riders on 4+ whose average will drop based on actual rides taken. It seems nonsensical to me but as the ruling is worded then it could change on just 2 rides. Why would it be a 5 as the rule states on 4/4 which for Tungate is 5.09.
-
That could be good news for the Robins then as he got to grips with the Abbey track at the latter end of the season. That's the problem with the d/u rule this season. If we are to get the season over in time, it's going to happen to quite a few teams with re-arranged meetings.
-
Not sure on that as rule states that when averages are changed, riders who have not done 4/4 will be averaged based on rides taken. This could mean Kyle would be a good signing for another club but if that is so would benefit Poole in Zengi's case as his average would drop to just above 4 & leave points to play with to make another change. Not sure if Ford would want KK back as he has gone off the boil lately.
-
Nothing in the rule to say that's possible. The rule says average based on rides. It doesn't say this season but can't see how it can take old Elite season into the equation. Plus he's riding for Poole at present which seems to mean based on this season, if previous seasons are anything to go by.
-
Could be quite a lottery at the reserve's spot on Thursday.
-
Don't forget, it's the BSPA, they always seem to find a different way of interpreting the rules. I remember going back about 4 seasons & a Polish rider whose name I can't remember was interesting a few clubs pre-season. They contacted the BSPA & were informed he would be an assessed 5 & so never signed him. Poole signed him & he was assessed as a 4. Say no more.
-
The Robins averages for this season's rides are 38.5. Depending on what happens in Thursday's meeting, Tungate would be a shoe in but strong rumours he was going to Kings Lynn.
-
According to the rule, a new average can be imposed based on the rides this season when the new averages are issued which according to Rosco will be 16th. Zengi's average this season is 4.89 at present based on his 2 rides.
