Does that mean he looks like Mrs Slocombe from "Are you being served"? Oh no, no, that was a purple rinse not a blue one

Must admit have not seen many worse but they still managed to beat us at the Abbey. -
Swindon V Poole Elb Monday 22/08/16 Sky Meeting.

Let's be honest, even Mystic Meg of Lotto fame would have difficulty predicting any Swindon result this season. You have to remember also how much luck favours Poole at the Abbey. Last season in the opening meeting, we lost 3 riders to injury against them, just pure bad luck! -
Surprise, Surprise! But I most admit that you never know what team will turn up with the Robins, this year.

That's known in the trade as "SELECTIVE MEMORY" or as most of us know as "blue tint"! -
That's what comes from so much trolling. He has to keep moving around to avoid the avenging angel!

To me the seasons over because even if we struggled into the play-offs, we would be smashed by whoever we ride against over 2 legs. The team is just not good enough & has not been all season, the only time we had a run of good results was when the 2nd heat leaders averages dropped enough to get them into the reserve berth. This to me is one of the big faults at present, as reserves get up to 7 rides & these better graded riders then affect the matches by an unrealistic amount.

The Play-offs aren't here yet & the final positions are not sorted yet. Going on your theory nobody would get the chance to make team changes in August ever.

Kings Lynn V Poole Ela. 11/8/16

I'm sure I read Fat Maude complaining about the crowds in 2009 or was it just a coincidence that Poole were vying for the wooden spoon That season! -
He'll have to get somebody to show him how to do it first!
-
And actually attend speedway meetings instead of just debating them on forums!

Looks like Torquay United FC have had a lucky escape. They were subject to a take-over bid by Gaming International, who intended building on the football ground & "developing another stadium elsewhere in the town". However the local council refused to sell them the freehold of the site. Pity Swindon Borough Council haven't been so helpful!

I can't remember many meetings that I've enjoyed when Ronnie Allen was refereeing a Robins meeting. Didn't Rosco & him have a big bust up a few seasons ago. He called Doylie back in 1 heat when you could clearly see the tapes move before the rider did. It didn't matter in the end because he went on to win the heat. Steve Worral was disqualified for breaking the tapes I heat 1 but I thought the heat 10 interval was going to come before he released the tapes. Ridiculous man, I tend to think that the night is over when I see his name on the programme.

I think that you are missing the point with Batchelor. He was badly affected by his crash in the first meeting of the season at the Abbey. It was obvious when he returned that he had lost his confidence & nerve. OK when he gated but if he was left at the gate, he was not prepared to take any risk to pass any other riders. Then the tragic accident to Darcy visibly affected him. I just wonder if he will ever be the rider he was again. -
You will be waiting a long time if you are expecting a sensible posting from. Once a Troll always a Troll!

As Lakeside have not scored less than 50 points at home, only one conclusion I'm afraid. The only way that the Robins won't lose tonight is if the weather wins. To me, Rosco missed a great chance to replace Rohan Tungate when he was on an artificially high average. There's no room for sentiment if you want to win the league & I'm afraid that he can't cut it in the main body of the team.

Swindon V Lakeside 16/06.

Not something that he has cocked up. The track is better than it has been in years gone by, when there was only one passing line out by the fence. The drainage on the track has been improved enormously but due to the lowest point being the centre green & the dog track being at least 10" above the speedway track, we will always have a problem. The sand accumulates gallons of water when there is heavy rain & the dog crew don't give a toss about the speedway track. They dig holes in & under the kick boards which allows sand & water onto the track. If you want to know how much work goes into the track, look up the Swindon Blog, a great read. -

It's not the potholes that are being filled, it's those enormous mounds that you can see at the back of the car park. I'm beginning to think there's more chance of a communist government in Parliament than a new stadium at the Abbey. -
I hope they're not all walking there. Animal cruelty, walk all that way & then have to race! I'm not holding my breath on a new stadium tho'. Sorry to intrude onto the Poole site. Slap my wrists.!

Must have spent the w/e in Poole. It has long been rumoured that the sea-air down there has magical healing powers or so Fat Maude believes! -

The Penhill Poole troll strikes again, let's not forget Fat Maude's rule, only Poole can use the rules to their own advantage! -
Have always thought that. I will never forget his quick turn-around when the "new stadium" was proposed. At first he was opposed & then comes the big public protest & hey ho, election in the offing & he's now a big speedway fan. He get's elected to parliament & now we can take a run & jump. He just like the self gratifying numpties we have as a council. Grandiose ideas & little sense!

On our day, we can destroy the hopes of even the most optimistic, if only we could keep up the same level of performance most of the time. -

See post 24 & stop your blue tinted trolling rant. You sounded just the same at the Abbey on Thursday. Didn't hear an intelligent comment then either! -

Pot, Kettle, Black. You know full well that if Swindon show a doctor's certificate, they can have a guest or r/r as Poole have often done in the past but that's within the rules isn't it! If Vardy were to sign for Arsenal, I can't see him improving unless they change their style of play to suit him. Vardy relies on his pace & accurate finishing to score, Arsenal's style of play is too slow & doesn't create the space behind the opposition's defence to utilise that pace. He shone at Leicester because they play from a deep position & utilised his lighting pace on the break!
