Odds On North & South Pl 2013?
iris123 replied to greyhoundp's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Pint for 30p....... Someone comes up with a suggestion that others don't like, surely they can say they don't like it without needing to come up with a better idea.Anyway it would seem what they already have is better than the north/south divide,so they are suggesting we stick with that over regionalisation The chances that fans will come up with some great ideas that will get speedway out of the doldrums are very slim.If we could only contribute if we came up with a better idea the forum would be pretty quiet i suggest. If someone does come up with a great idea i am sure most people will say so. -
It is a toughie, with a number of pitfalls Ok in Swedish it is Isracing, which translates good to Ice racing. But in German it is eisspeedway or in Finnish it is Jääspeedway or Dutch it is i think Ijsspeedway which translates to Ice Speedway. It seems at least in germany we have eisspeedway and speedway on ice for the different sports on ice

Looks a solid side DW,but Simon back after a few years break at D grade?? Who are the top 80cc riders that will be moving up to 500cc next season and where are they going?
-
Think you are dreaming.Who is going to broadcast it?Seen nothing and it would be out there by now.Think the only chance was a local station or amateur who streams it like they sometimes do with Ice Speedway from Russia. But as of yet there is only the radio station being posted,so i guess that and the Danish link and of course maybe one of the polish sites copies those or has someone........other than that i think we have to wait for some of the heats or if we are lucky, all turn up on youtube

Not in an Argentinian bus Read a comment about riding "on a beach",so i guess the Bahia Blanca track is a bit different to what the guys are used to?????Will be interesting to see how the local guys do against the foreign stars Does seem that a local radio station will be doing regular spots on the meetings and maybe updates....if you can understand Spanish, but i think also something in english.not sure though http://www.rugirsports.com.ar/ and of course the danes will be updating on dk4

Decisions like this really bring the sport into question. The SWC was one of the highlights of the season, only imo spoilt by the joker. We heard that the authorities were up in arms about the danish tactics and were going to do something about it.....so do they do the sensible thing and scrap it?Of course not a little tweak which won't do a lot and then compromise the whole tournament by seeding the 7th or 8th best team straight into the final, thus ensuring one of the best teams won't be able to make it and ensuring one team(CZ) will be way out of contention in the final and ensuring one of the top events of the year is raced on one of the worst tracks in Europe.......and these guys are "experts"

Seems crazy to schedule the final on 20th July, the same day as the daugavpils round of the U21 finals!!!Unless the Danes for example don't bother entering the U21s next year -
No,just going by something posted here before.Maybe by Humphrey???? But can't say who for sure.Reading a bit on the net yesterday i couldn't find anything about a ban, just that it is being investigated since June by the food/health body in France.....and now this latest case(s).Both seem specific to Monster rather than energy drinks as a whole Have to admit energy drinks aren't my thing and so this all comes as a surprise to me.Read that Red Bull was banned in a few countries,France + Denmark included for a few years.

Midland Development League Agm 2012
iris123 replied to SarahLapworth's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
On the continent it is quite normal to have junior etc heats throughout the meeting. In Germany they have 125 + 250 cc heats,in Denmark i have seen 50cc + 80cc heats in between and a few weeks back in Pardubice there were some Longtrack trial heats between the 500cc heats.Just needs proper organisation, but then every meeting should be organised properly so that people aren't standing around for 15 minutes waiting.I heard from Dutchgrasstrack that during one meeting recently track prep was going on after every two heats for no good reason other than dragging the meeting out. That isn't acceptable -
Think f-s-p might have got one thing wrong. Not sure i mentioned Zmarzlik as i hadn't heard anything on him.More i was told Musielak's injury was rather questionable,Dudek could have ridden in Pardu and Piotr was almost going to be fit to ride in the Play-offs if you read some of the comments on here....No,i think you have to be very naieve to believe all 6 Poles other than Magic are injured and can't make the trip after the funds to finance it were not forthcoming. All very fishy Oh and it seems DK4 will be covering the meetings,so we can watch
-
Ah,i never caught that.Just thought this was a first and a big problem at that as it is in California and the parents would probably sue the company for millions and try for a ban.If i am right Monster is already banned in Denmark?
-
Bad publicity at the moment.Monster was all over tv and newspapers because a 14 year old has died and Monster drink is being blamed.Seems she was at least the 4th death blamed on Monster!!!!

Armando Castagna is the name mentioned to me pushing for this. And also the one who made a number of promises on the financial/organisation side to get people on board and they seem to have been forgotten-I would say in theory it is great for international speedway to be going round the globe......but the conditions have to be right.I don't think using the youngsters as guinnea pigs is right. It seems both the FIM + UEM are trying to push the bounaries without having the financial back up to cover the costs. The riders end up out of pocket and you end up with a meeting in Russia with no western rider and about 7 or 8 Russians a few Ukrainians a Czech and a Pole. And here you end up with 6 out of 7 Poles dropping out with sicknotes
