Battle of the Brits + of the Mikkels.Looks a very interesting clash Think you'll be on the losing side though Peter

I'd agree,it was a bad advert for speedway in so many ways.Does a lot of damage.....well it would do if there was any non speedway fans watching. And i would doubt really that too many non speedway fans tune in with no idea of what the sport is about. But if they see that as the best the sport can offer then i doubt they will be searching out the fixtures for their local track

Nathan Greaves & Robert Lambert
iris123 replied to cometsfan2k4's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Another good result from Robert last night in Güstrow.Finished second, behind Kai Huckenbeck but ahead of Danny Maaßen and the recently returned to speedway René Deddens -
A few years ago we would have had pages slagging off Ole Olsen for that track last night!!!What i can't understand is why we can't have improvements made to track prep or to the material?Talking to someone who has been to Italy a few times and he said their idea of track prep was to just chuck water on it.He thought the first time that a mistake had been made, but it is what happens every time.Think it is good that the FIM support the smaller speedway countries, but Italy isn't the place for a GP imo

Bundesliga Record Win By Brokstedt

You guys kill me....Tobi wanted to keep the name of the guy behind this secret.Someone whispered a name in my ear and anyone who knows me know i don't really take much interest in technical things(and rules...ok i admit it)and i had never heard of him and it went in one ear and out the other. But there was something about BMW mentioned. That i do know  -

Unlikely.Think Stralsund have to win away in Landshut and they will be without Tobi Busch as he has another priority. Can't see Stralsund winning away, but fingers crossed :D -

How did the Polish riders in 73 get into the final? We have done all this to death....just search for some of the numerous threads.....it isn't about making the line-up fresh. It's about ensuring the best riders are in.Apart from the usual Brit picked and darcy opting out for certain reasons they generally get it right....and if they don't it is normally those that have qualified....so making more places for qualifiers isn't the way -

Yes you did tell me.I couldn't follow the YGT as i was away in Denmark. Was surprised that Mio wasn't in the final, but Danish webmaster did tell me about Kurtz.. No,didn't go yesterday.Next weekend in Brokstedt, but i doubt Kylmä will be riding for Brokstedt?

Yes,he must stand a decent chance as some of the best Danes are not in....i.e world no2 Jorgensen is just reserve.Couple of good Norwegians to battle against though

The rumours of Gollobs demise have been around for quite a few years now.He finally won the world title maybe 2 or 3 years after people were righting him off(me included,as i thought he had missed his best chances),but now i think it has finally come.Enjoy it while it lasts,it was a great career, one of the most entertaining riders ever, when he was in the right frame ofmind. Now i think the years and the off track problems and of course finally winning that coveted title have taken their toll. And i am not sure why that last bit is there as no-one has written Hancock off as far as i have seen????
