  1. No way! Just wait till next year, then we will defo win it.Loram and Louis maybe Norris, with Howe and Screen.Middlo will get the best out of them,i'm sure.Better times are just around the corner.
  2. Wise.As a woman i thought you were also advised to stay out of this
  3. That seems a little tame compared to what you were saying about some of the players in the footie WC
  4. Is it too early to start the "Just wait till next year,we'll win it!" posts
  5. Yeah.Must be Olsens fault we ain't any good
  6. I'll go for Denmark. They must get it right sometime Australia GB Sweden Really all depends on this joker thingy and tac rides, which could mean the best team doesn't win.Australia and Denmark probably won't be in a position to use a joker,so if the Swedes get it right they could pull a surprise.Gb as well as long as Middlo works out when is best to use it
  7. Potential is different to actual performance.I have to say i agree with Sub.While i always think Denmark will walk it,they don't seem to rise to the occasion. This time, this time With GB close behind
  8. And i thought you always stayed at her place. Then again you are always a bit tippsy
  9. What license someone rides under has nothing to do with what nationality someone is,and therefore plays no role in what national team they can ride for.If Topinka doesn't ride for Czecho that is either because he isn't picked or doesn't want to.When Ferjan gets his passport then he can ride for the Hungarian team. But in individual competitions he can enter with a Hungarian Licence.Just as Simon Wigg did with a Dutch one.
  10. Hi Peter, Yes have seen Mikkel,he is good.A couple of other very good Danish riders missing.Mikkel.B.Jensen & Patrick Tarp have also impressed me this year. Was hoping to see you and Simon at Holsted last month, but couldn't get out of bed They had a 250cc demo race yesterday(i think all Swedish riders )do you have any news on what the plans are for this class? Must say the whole tournament at Skærbæk was very good. They had been working hard by the looks of it.New fence, and picnic tables.A very good food and drink area, the Polish souvenir guy as well as Nicki P merchandise.Even a good programme for 10kr.Most important lots of sponsors.Went very well. Was also someone filming, maybe for local tv.And like you say the weather was perfect and the racing got tougher as the tournament went on.Funny,Friday night i was passed on my way back by about a thousand Danish caravaners heading south.Thought you might be with them YGT Winners 2001 Leon Madsen(Vojens) 2002 Nicolai Klindt(Outrup) 2003 Kenneth Hansen(Slangerup) 2004 Nicki Barret(Fjelsted) 2005 Simon Nielsen(Vojens) 2006 Michael Palm Toft(Fredericia) Doug
  11. Yes i saw him today. And Ted Hagansbo was also there with his leg in plaster.Broke 2 bones so i heard
  12. Funnily enough i found one.German blow-up thing from the World Cup
  13. Sorry i'm late.Took the long way back Anyway what a meeting! Final M.P.Toft (3,3,2,2,3)12+3 R.Bach (F.x,3,3,3,3)12+2 A.Mellgren (1,3,3,3,1)11+1 M."LiGlad" Jensen (3,2,3,F.x,3)11+F.x S.Andersen (0,2,2,3,3) 10 M.Vissing (2,1,3,1,3) 10 D.Sjøgren (3,1,1,3,2) 10 S.Masters (2,2,2,2,2) 10 N.Porsing (3,0,F,2,1) 6 T.Jørgensen (0,1,2,2,1) 6 S.Nielsen (2,2,1,1,F.x) 6 D.Andersson (1,3,F.x,1,0) 5 R.Jensen (1,0,1,0,2) 4 P.Tirsdal (2,0,1,0,0) 3 K.L.Nielsen (1,1,F.x,0,0) 2 D.Ward (Frem.0,e.f,0,1,1) 2 A few photo's here Have to feel sorry for René Bach.Twice he was leading in the final, only for someone to fall.First LiGlad came hard underneath him and fell. Then Michael Palm Toft fell in the re-start.In the second re-start Mellgren hit the front and Bach came hard(a bit unfair perhaps ),they both wobbled and Toft capitalized.René tried hard to catch him but couldn't quite do it.At the end Mellgren seemed happy enough doing donuts, but Bach and LiGlad(not a favourite with the crowd) were devestated. Darcy....well just didn't go for him today.Sam went well and in his last heat needed a win.Gave it his all on the last bend, came hard under Steffen Andersen, fell.Andersens bike packed up.Quick as a flash he jumped off and pushed for home.Sam got up started his bike up and raced to the line.He thought he had won,as did the crowd, but the ref thought otherwise. He was interviewed during the meeting and said he prefered the set-up in Denmark. The bigger tracks,he said he could really get up some speed. The Aussie boys had the crowd with them today.Everyone i think appreciated their acheivement
  14. Semi-Final 1 R.Bach 14+3 P.Tirsdal 11+2 D.Andersson(Swe) 10+1 M.Vissing 9+0 D.Ward(Aus) 9 S.Andersen 9 K.L.Nielsen 9 S.Nielsen 9 -------------- M.Melchiorsen 7+3 --------------- N.Häggblad(Swe) 7+2 K.Katajisto(Fin) 6 L.Raun 6 S.Wozniak(Pl) 5 P.Aspgren(Swe)4 S.Carlsen(Swe) 3 D.Fagerkrantz(Swe) 0 J.Palmi(Fin)res 0 Semi-Final 2 M "LiGlad" Jensen 12+3 A.Mellgren(Swe) 12+2 D.Sjögren 11+1 R.Jensen 11+0 S.Masters(Aus)10 N.Porsing 9 T.Jörgensen 9 M.P.Toft 8+3 ------------- M.Randrup 8+f ------------- J.Schmidt 7 S.Fischer 6 N.Carlsen 5 T.Hagansbo(Swe) 5 M.Andersson(Swe)res 4 L.Kragh 2 A.Rosén(Swe) 1 N.Jakobsen 0 Well i said a few weeks back that René Bach was my tip for the championship and he is looking good.The thing is,if LiGlad is in the Final,anything can happen.He is just red-hot.3 times today he was in 3rd place and came through to win,even in the A-final against the top guys :oAnother fall though while in last place . Not sure the reason but Henrik Karlsson didn't ride today.His place was taken by Ted Hagansbo.Unfortunately Ted had a nasty fall and was taken to hospital with what looked like a leg/foot injury A few pics here
  15. Got the result of the 3rd Quali R.Bach 15+3 D.Sjögren 12+2 S.Fischer 11+1 D.Ward(Aus) 12+0 N.Carlsen 10 K.Katajisto(Fin) 9 H.Karlsson(Swe) 8 R.Jensen 8 N.Jakobsen 7 D.Fagerkrantz(Swe) 6 ----------------- M.Andersson(Swe) 6 ----------------- N.Siltaniemi(Fin) 4 M.Liszka(Pl)4 K.Cieslar(Pl) 3 M.Szymko(Pl) 2 J.Munro(Aus) 2 Spoke to Darcy's father and he said Dary was looking good in second place in the final but fell.Seems like he will be putting in an appearance at King's Lynn on a 250cc bike as well
  16. All i know is that all the Danish riders have qualified. Not easy to get info from these meetings, especially as the DMU site is down.Maybe a Swedish site has more info?.I will find out only when i get there later.Should post the semi-final resuls around 24:00
  17. If you are ever stuck for results, this is a good starting place.Lots of info
  18. I take loads of pictures, but only put a few on webshots Have to agree, yesterday he looked very good. But at Outrup in the DM semi's he was all over the place and failed to qualify.Very exciting, but a bit wreckless. The same yesterday against Vissing he came from behind, then went way too fast into the bend and ......POW! Was expecting more from Rosén,but like i said Dennis Andersson looks like he could stop a Danish white-wash.As does Sam Masters on yesterdays form.Look forward to tomorrow, then we will start to see who are the real contenders
  19. Yes Mikael,i was there Will miss the last quali, thursday. But hope to be there for the semi's and the Final Some foto's here
  20. 1st Quali(Riders from Denmark unless otherwise shown) M.P.Toft 14+3 D.Andersson(Sw)13+2 L.Raun 12+1 S.Andersen 11+0 M.Melchiorsen 11 K.L.Nielsen 11 P.Tirsdal 8 S.Wozniak(Pl) 8 S.Carlsson(Sw) 8 P.Aspgren(Sw)6+3 ----------------- J.Palmi(Fin) 6+2 ----------------- R.Medson(Aus) 5 O.Nilsson(Sw) 4 V.Wasenius(Fin) 2 R.De Biasi(Fr) 1 ???????(Pl) 0 Good first meeting.Young Robert Medson was a bit unlucky not to get through.Had a couple of heats to get used to everything and started to get better as the meeting went on.Dennis Andersson was the best non-Danish rider.Looked pretty fast. Quali 2 M.LiGlad Jensen 12+3 N.Porsing 12+2 J.Schmidt 12+1 M.Vissing 15+0 S.Masters(Aus) 10 M.Randrup 10 L.Kragh 9 A.Rosén(Sw) 8 N.Häggblad(Sw)7+3 ----------------- P.Sundström(Sw) 7+2 T.Hagansbo(Sw) 6 ------------------ M.Loppi(Fin) 3 T.Piecha(Pl) 3 C.Szymko(Pl) 2 T.Reich (USA) 2 P.Foltynski(Pl) 1 In the second quali the young Danes dominated,but the sensation for me was the youngster from Down under.If it wasn't for an e.f in his second heat while leading Michael Vissing he would have had 13 points and been in the Final.Fantastic,especially if this is the first time he has been on an 80cc bike.If he carries on like this he should make the final.Very fast from the gate.LiGlad looks pretty fast though.Only one fall spoilt his afternoon

  22. Watching german tele over the last couple of days there were 2 programmes on dangerous sports. One programme had a short section on US indoor Ice speedway. The other had sections on swamp racing, hill racing, drag bikes and a piece on i guess the US championships from Sacremento a few years back.Won by Billy Hamill,i think(couldn't hear it because of the kids ),but there was a piece on Rachelle Kerr. She had what looked like a bad accident when she fell and another rider went straight into her back.Guess she is the sister of Chris.Anyone have any info on her.Is she still racing?Tried a search on here but came up with nowt, but i'm sure there was at least one thread about female riders
  23. Indeed, but wasn't he saying just a few weeks back that he didn't want to be coming 14th,15th or 16th in the GP's?Must own up to just seeing the headline and not bothering to translate it.But i can't see him ever being more than just that. Again, good to see a couple of Brits make it.Also happy for Charlie to get through after all the problems with selection at the start of the season.Well done to Smoli as well
