  1. There is a mistake somewhere amongst the Holsted scorers, though. They ended up with 51 points but the totals come to 54,i think.Henrik was on 10 points after 5 heats, but ends up with 17 with no joker being used :unsure:Still a good performance though.
  2. result taken from Holsted homepage Slangerup Chris Harris 18+1 (6 point from Joker) 7 heat Leon D. Madsen 10 point i 6 heat Mads Korneliussen 7 point i 5 heat Kenneth Hansen 7+2 i 5 heat Henrik Wedel 4 point 5 heat Klaus Jakobsen 2 point i 4 heat Holsted Henrik Møller 17 point i 7 heat Niels Kristian Iversen 13+1 i 6 heat Ulrik Østergaard 9+2 i 5 heat Patrick Hougaard 7+1 i 5 heat Jonas Raun 4 point i 5 heat Kevin Wölbert 4 point i 4 heat
  3. Seems to me a very reasonable thing to say, remembering for every rider there is a hard working team behind him.Why not give them a mention?
  4. I was wondering if that had anything to do with Subedei's bad mood. The "No more GP's at Parken" post
  5. Don't forget this is just the first round, with the second at Holsted. The winner won't be decided on friday.I think you will see a different Nicki in Outrup and maybe he won't win,but he will still be in contention when Holsted comes around. Don't think he will be on the rostrum but Nicolai Klindt on his home track will take a top scalp or two Bring it on
  6. Heard he had bike problems, while leading in one heat.Didn't bother with the last,i think And of course the heat details were there when i posted the link.Unfortunately they do change things
  7. I agree with the sentiment that Slangerup get a bumper crowd.Just a pity that Danish fans get very few chances to see their own top riders.Still, evryone will get a chance to see Leon Madsen,Patrick Hougaard and Jonas Raun on home territory. Very nice offer Peter, unfortunately i won't be going. Not a big fan of GP's(only been to 2 Individual World Finals and 2 GP's in about 40 years of watching speedway),but was thinking of coming up for the Slangerup meeting.Decided a while back not to though.Nothing to do with the line-up.Will be (weather permitting) in Outrup next friday for the Danish Final and might possibly go to Holsted wednesday for what was advertised as a meeting between Holsted-Güstrow-Leszno.Will wait for the line-up first though.
  8. Good question.Kelvin Tatum, naturally.Roger Johns,of course.Ferreira was a favourite, but to be honest i'm not sure(my memory isn't perfect) if that was pre or post dropping down a league.Just remember him as a great rider.I also took to John Davis, even though he was obviously someone else also more associated with other teams.Like i said, can't really pin-point why
  9. Don't mean to sound negative. It's not that i disliked Simmo,i was more neutral. For some reason there are riders who i didn't/don't take to(something subconcious?could have been the colour of his leathers )and Simmo was one
  10. Might get the book, but won't make any special effort.Unlike you,Simmo was never a favourite of mine, even when he rode for the Dons.Always associated him with other clubs rather than Wimbledon.Nothing against him, mind.I would say the same for a number of riders who changed clubs quite often and on their travels passed through Plough Lane. How the speedway world has changed, they pretty well all do it nowadays
  11. I'd say Nicolai Klindt Kevin Wölbert is also on a par with him and Pavlic followed by René Bach(my tip to win this years 80cc World Championship) and i said last year watch out for Simon Fischer and after seeing him at the weekend again,he still looks good.Maybe there will be 2 Bjerre's also at the top,eh garf
  12. Err,i think you have listed why And that is a very big if Nicki Pedersen Bjarne Pedersen Niels Kristian Iversen Hans Andersen Jesper .B Jensen Charlie Gjedde Kenneth Bjerre Man for man that is a good squad even if Bjerre and Gjedde aren't going well at the mo
  13. Don't think it is quite so easy to judge comaprative strengths by looking at how certain riders do in both leagues. If all tracks were similar then ok,but just because Dryml or Miedzinski do better in Poland, doesn't mean the league is weaker, maybe just the track suits them better.Still,if you have enough time on your hands you can go through the leagues and compare all riders, work it all out and come up with statistics to prove something or other.I still like the look of the Swedish and Polish line-ups far more than the most Elite teams
  14. Was a little surprised that Kling got through.Thought Tomicek would make it.Hope Seb Aldén isn't as disappointed as he was in Holsted.Again top scorer in the main meeting, only to miss out in the Final.Great stuff from Daniel and following it on sportowefakty,Holder always looked to be a favourite to qualify.
  15. I won't pretend to know exactly how all this works,but........can't Norway enter anyone who rides on one of their licences while only someone who holds a passport can be fielded in their national team.Just from previous examples Simon Wigg entered the Longtrack World Championship on a (Dutch?)foreign licence but wasn't a citizen of that country. This year i think both Stephan Katt and Matten Kröger thought about entering on French licences because they were not nominated by Germany. They were told the had to enter the French Championship last year to geta nomination. Not sure what the status of Pijper is on this.He seems to enter through France From previous examples i would think it quite possible that Holta could enter the GP quali's through Norway and still line up for Poland in the SWC,if all parties are willing.Sadly just another issue that makes the sport an oddity to the outside world.
  16. Thought he broke his hand in a crash at Abensberg.Would have thought it was definite, but have not seen any info since the meeting
  17. Don't think Stange will be there.Thought he was injured last week in the Team U21.
  18. Outrup 47 C.Gjedde (3,1,2*,1*,2,0)9+2 N.Klindt (1,3,2,2,2*,3,1)14+1 P.Paluch (2,F.0,3,2,1,6,0)14 J.Lukaszewski (0,3,0,1*)4+1 P.Nørgaard (F.X,3,0,0)3 S.Andersen (1,F,2*,0)3+1 Holsted 52 N-K.Iversen (2,2*,2,3,2*,2*)13+3 H.Møller (Ret,1,1*,0,1*)3+2 N.Pedersen (3,3,3,3,3,3)18 P.Hougaard (1,1*,0,3,1)6+1 C.Wortmann (3,0,1,0)4 J.Raun (2*,2,F.X,1,1,2)8+1) Outrup slightly weakened as Andreas Messing couldn't make it and Patrick Nørgaard was a last minute relacement(i think ) Staerke Partner Heat N.Klindt bt P.Hougaard Best Fighter J.Raun(i think?) A few pics here
  19. About as much chance of that as Ferjan had of getting a Hungarian passport last year I was thinking the same.Anyway the good burghers of Togliatti ain't too happy with a GP being held in some far flung outpost on the edge of Europe called Cardiff
  20. Nothing to do with Wroclaw apart from the fact it was there that a new venue was discussed.Big-wigs from Togliatti met with Postlethwaite in Wroclaw to discuss the staging of a GP at the new stadium they are going to build.Interesting
  21. Well i think Sweden will qualify no problem.Just hope Finland,Czecho and Russia take enough points off each other to enable Germany to get through
