  1. Think you`ll find Spain at no18 on the list
  2. pretty impressive crowd better than the speedway GP`s together.i see they are only expecting 5,000 at Parchim for the World semi with much the same line up. Or did most come to see Nynke:o Your article in BSA was good.what are the plans for the speedway track?
  3. never mind, i think they are showing it live here.Seen on teletext Wisey has flown to Italy to try and get fit for the game. Will have to put a tape in though as i`m going to Ludwigslust for the speedway.Come on you Lions Probably get a warning for this but did you know they had a mascot with a gaelic inscription on it?
  4. Guess i am nearer to Munster than most of you
  5. There is also the Bergring -Grasstrack speedway at Teterow, starting at 14:00.I think Kelvin Tatum,Robert Barth and Trevor Banks are among the riders appearing .Saturday and Sunday(12:00)
  6. Also Tommy died about a month after winning the Golden Helmet against Crashby. He beat DJ the next month
  7. Have to agree there.I guess Uncle Len has to take credit for that.He knew how to entertain.Mechanics races and all.Think Wimbledons meetings were somewhat sober occasions compared to Hackney
  8. more the Stockwell end.Shops still there but think its under another name now.Mauger was a very reluctant autograph giver. Was always good at Plough Lane as they had to come out to their cars and couldnt avoid us waiting kids, but Ivan was always hard to get.Think he rationed them to about 5 per meeting. But i`ve still got mine and a few from Tommy as well :DHave to add the craziest rider i ever got an autograph from was Bob Paulson from Sheffield.Dont know if he was always as mad as a hatter as i think i only saw him once ,but what a guy Plough Lane was also good for getting riders who came over for Wembley etc.Got Mike Bast like that and a few others.Sumner McKnight also rode there once
  9. M.Wolter 25pts M.Schultz 20 J.Pingel 18 S.Mell 16 M.Smolinski 13 R.Schäfer 13 J.Kugelmann 11 R.Haupt 11 C.Hefenbrock 8 T.Stange 8 D.Knakowski 7 B.Danielczik 7 M.Limberger 6 T.Busch 6 T.Gävert 5 D.Rath 5 H.Loof 4 M.Bartz 4 J.Pape3 T.Kroner 3 M.Möller 2 D.Möller2 D.Fischer1 M.Müller 1
  10. Unfortunately for some of us that were there we can only imagine what it was like as well I think alcohol has robbed me of most of my memory Just lucky i still have most of my programmes and some Speedway Stars.Think i`ll have to take a subsription out as well.If Shazzy recomends it,then its worth a look
  11. Was at the London Cup match in `73 when the Dons trailed at home 8-21 after 5 heats to come back and win with a last heat 5-1.And then later in the year Hackney snatched a draw with a 5-1 in the league match. But personally i didnt at the time feel that there was too much rivalry. It was maybe that Wimbledons natural rivals ,Wembley,West Ham and New Cross had gone and Hackney were there in place Always looked forward to Belle Vue`s visits more,to be honest.By the 80`s it was much better, maybe the passing of time, maybe because we both had more exciting teams remember seeing a match against an Ex-Wembley side ,just a fixture filler.Dont think an Ex-Hackney side is a better idea, personally
  12. we have to wait for Norden at the weekend to see who is the best at the moment. One person says Smoli another says Hefe.As i said it was a pity they all didnt ride against each other at Brokstedt. The way Mirko Wolter passed Smoli at Brokstedt would suggest he is far from invincible, but i`m also not convinced that Matze Schultz has progressed much this season.
  13. See we are going to get the chance to see Jurica Pavlic here in North Germany Also in the line up for the 2 day meeting are N-K.Iversen H.Bager A.Castagna S.Terenzani A.Smith S.Nicholls(30th only) M.Hauzinger R.Barth T.Bajerski M.Wolter J.Pingel S.Mell J.Lyons the B-License includes M.Bartz and K.Wölbert alternatively just down the road at Teterow on the 29th N.Klinberg E.Kramer P.Karlsson B.Hamill S.Ermelenko S.Ulamek F.Wallner R.Pedersen A.Svab C.Louis J.Screen S.Johnston D.Knakowski C.Hefenbrock M.Schultz D.Rath mmmmm bit of a choice
  14. Ah,but sometimes it pays to take a chance. Not saying Stange is the right one to chance, just that he wants to come over.Better bets might be Smolinski or Knakowski ,who just made his debut for Holsted in 1.division scoring 12 pts .Matze Schultz on the other hand has stated he has no interest in riding in Britain See on Kugelmann`s web site he lists Poole as one of his fav tracks, so if yours is anything like it then he might be alright
  15. Ive seen that the wild cards are S.Drabik & W.Jagus
  16. I agree, but this is speedway we are talking about. Just wanted to ask if it is necessary to have the results 3 times on here and in Polish
  17. 134 is deffo 100% Regeling unless someone is guesting in his leathers
  18. You mean the residents of Glasgow,i think
  19. who are the vikings of the south then
  20. Is no.12 S.Colvin with 0pts? Not looking too good for Barth just before the G.P
  21. No its not true They did show a meeting on Turkish tv in about 77 Think it was World Best Pairs from Yugo But dont know if it started any interest in Turkey
  22. Do know that Thomas Stange was in the Bahnsport Aktuell the other month stating his wish to ride in "England"(maybe he has heard about Wales ).He is riding today in Krsko,so might be interesting to see where he comes in the placings. Was out for most of last season after a crash and stated his main aim for the season was to get through injury-free.All he needed was a contact in Britain
