  1. Just highlights we need to use the 6.5 points available to replace Robbo. Good win considering 2 riders scored 1 between them and also the poor start we had. Some good racing tonight too.
  2. You could also include THJ and Batchelor who are also behind Bomber at the moment.
  3. Ideally wildcards would be: Ward, Sayfutdinov, Hampel and either Lindback, Jonsson or Kildemand depending on GP challenge. Harris to qualify through the GP challenge......
  4. I think Belle Vue are in the driving seat at the moment, they just need to win home meetings. If Coventry finish top I think they would choose Belle Vue as the Bees record round there is excellent.
  5. This should be a cracking meeting tonight. Think Bees will sneak it but I reckon Kings Lynn will take a point. Hans a 2nd string from tonight?
  6. The SCB official did there job last night by making a decision and sticking to it. Complete opposite to what happened at Coventry where they made a decision then went back on it.
  7. I've seen the video of the Newman/Wright incident and it was incredibly harsh on Newman. Was hit twice by Wright and was sent to the fence.
  8. Hans scored around 17 at Lakeside last year ( one win a t/R ride). Anything near that from him and Bees will win easily. He only scored 3 in the A fixture this season though.
  9. Bees should be looking to get maximum points here.
  10. Does seem bizarre that Newman hasn't had the best form and is top yet Garrity has been doing well for Coventry and Sheffield (from scores I've seen) has dropped to 3rd.
  11. Bomber seemingly produces one excellent ride per GP, so frustrating to watch. If only if he can turn that into 2 or 3 decent rides per gp. As for his heat win, we see that type of ride from Harris often at Brandon and against some quality opposition. All in all a decent gp and the track held up very well.
  12. Just had a look on the met office app it now has light rain at 5 and stops soon after. I guess if the covers do its job we will get a meeting of some sort.
  13. Talk at the meeting was having extra events to make the stadium viable and show it's being used. Well there is one on 7th August, a sidecar meeting only £10 each. I will be supporting this.
  14. Buildbase probably would have funds to be fair. Nice to know there are options. Are local residents, stock car fans, mps and councillors going to come to a meeting at 10pm at night? It's not just about speedway fans.
  15. Really its interesting that Horton has asked, I wonder if he has any backers because it will be a tough ask to raise the money. Yeah not ideal doing a year on year lease but I do think we will be at Brandon for a while yet. Also I understand the planning consultants pulled out of a meeting recently and Rugby Council have heard nothing in a while
  16. The difference is the cost of hiring stadiums like Wembley and the Olympic Stadium that have no roof, it will probably be much more than they pay for Cardiff with a roof. Belle Vue for a SWC would only be a fraction of that cost.
  17. Harris on the Gerhard engines during practice. I guess he will be using them tomorrow.
  18. Also the Garden Centre has been derelict for quite a while now and its reopening as a garden centre I believe. Seems one step is getting Rugby Council to approve listing the stadium as a community asset. Because then people will be there till midnight and the meeting was for residents and stock car fans too.
  19. 150 people a poor turn out for a meeting? Really? I couldn't get along in the end because of childcare glad it was a good turnout.
  20. Or like some of us he thinks he has a case? You need to read that again.
  21. People are missing the point that an inspection was promised after heat 9 by the SCB official, it never happened! At that point the club had every right not to send the riders out until an inspection happened. It was a huge failure from the meeting coordinator. He compromised safety to hurry through to get a result, that cannot be right or acceptable.
  22. All we want is answers and how things will improve in future but that never happens and what's worse is us fans knew nothing would be done to make sure this will not happen again.
  23. It is part of the issue. It cannot be right that any promotion that holds a Sky meeting cannot call it off on the day. It should be the same procedure whether it's on Sky or not. Clubs are struggling as it is and should not be held to ransom like that.
  24. Of course. Once the official said inspection after heat 9 then Havvy had every right not to send riders out until that happened. I'm not shocked by the verdict but it shows me getting a result was number 1 priority. Poole riders were not to impressed either going by twitter comments the next day. Holder said it probably shouldn't have started plus they couldn't believe fines were dished out.
  25. You shouldn't have to be fined to ensure riders safety. It's the 1st job for an official.
