it seems to take about 1hr 37min and trains seem to be pretty frequent.

I did go to grasstrack at silverstone once, there is a stock car place brafield also in northampton, i believe they have mooted starting speedway there, lack of interest. Also I go to belle vue which is in manchester, not right in he centre but only a bus ride away, and the crowds there are quite poor, so is access really an issue? More just general lack of interest, i mean 2 million people live in manchester.

They seem to have probs if there is an injury, the ambulance situation could do with being sorted, hospital is only down the road! The fence always takes a time to fix too, maybe the proposed air fence will help with that!

If i remember there was a bad injury, cant remeber who, want it ipswich? And had to wait for the ambulance? Did nt someone go over the fence, then lee lanham got injured too, that was a one off not due to meeting format although i do agree it was tedious, i missed news at ten, the horror!

I used to enjoy the old sliver helmet race off's i know that this has changed the thread a bit? But i used to really enjoy the one on one, it was a bit different, i was only ickle mind. Used to love to watch Tom Owen Beat the oppositions Number One..... When did it stop or have i just not noticed it, could it be brought back? Dont they have a bronze helmet in the Conf?

Think most riders at some point in that era had a Cortina With a bike holder thing on the back! Not so many vans in them days, they used to look funny going down the motorway wi a bike strapped to the back, almost like wacky races, them were the days!!

Sorry to repeat wot others have said but if you need 45 to at least draw a meeting how can you have a 40 point limit, setting yourself up to fail! I read in the speedway star he not been beaten round brough by an opposing rider since july (not counting Lee L runoff) - Impressive which ever way you look at it!

Never mind the venue wot about the rules need to sort out jokers and Tac subs after wot happened to aussies this year (IMHO)
