  1. Yes, dont mean to be unkind but it would be nice if they got thumped for a change!!!
  2. If I am not mistaken there is a code of conduct in place stopping riders making adverse social media comments? Craig is a good rider who should stick to that
  3. Yes your season made a few pundits and some folks on forums eat their words! One person in Speedway Star predictions had Berwick last. One thing I think Berwick must look at though is a hitter at number one who will score the big points away from home. Messrs Vissing, Doolan, Kus okay at home but at times dont hit the heights away apart from odd time! Do not mean any disrespect to Comets but there is as much chance of them winning at Armadale as a man landing on Mars tomorrow.
  4. Despite the loss and out of the Final now, Berwick should feel proud of what they have achieved this season, not bad for a small town so called tin pot speedway as was mentioned somewhere I recall early season. Five away league wins too but in the cold light of day it is no getting away from the fact that Monarchs are a good team.
  5. TBH When you book guests it is always a bit of gamble. Josef Franc can do it at Berwick but he has not been at his best of late I think? Simota is going ok and scored paid 11 at Berwick. Checked updates and had two paid wins. Damned if you do etc!
  6. Imagine Franc average too high and would not think that Wolbert in country as Tigers not racing. Looking at averages two guys stand out who have done well at Berwick this year, Boxall and Simota, Sam the man has been good for Plymouth of late.
  7. The aim will surely be to Yes take 3 points but to win by a bigger score than Edinburgh did to put them top. Berwick have decent record at Workington so who knows they could sneak the group?
  8. I think to be fair Tigers are a much better team now that early to mid season. Berwick have just lost that shapness in recent weeks but a good season all same for your folks including 5 away wins, as good as anybody but the Monarchs.. Not looked at table but think Berwick end 1 point behind Ipswich so needed just a win of any kind last night not four points as on Berwick release??
  9. Not at meeting but maybe it like swings and roundabouts. Berwick seemed to be at their peak in late July area but maybe have gone off boil a little? Scunthorpe, as they did when they won title are looking as if they hitting form at right time
  10. And that wont be easy against the PL form team! Berwick's hopes of a top two finish evaporated in the last 9 races at Somerset.
  11. It is what is known as a professional foul Shadders. You doctor the track (more so when you are getting humped early on) to suit your own lot. The last nine heats prove that, otherwise how can a team go from 22-14 to lose next ones 12-42!! It happens all over of course and you cannot blame a home team.
  12. Hello Shadders. Deep down I think really you like Berwick. From what I have heard you always get looked after up there on your trips? In the end the important thing is that both Berwick and Rye House, agreed totally different circuits, survive and flourish. Goodness knows speedway is in a bad enough condition without tracks and fans falling out on who is the best.
  13. Strange looking Tigers team? Danny Phillips at 1, RR at 3 and Luke Chessell at No 6. Missing three riders.
  14. Screm You have to be realistic too. I think this is or was 5 meetings in some 6 days for Berwick, man and machine. Some riders will struggle to keep machinery in top condition in those circumstances. Kus seems to tail off later in meetings and failed to score late on as he often seems to do. TBH I think 6 rides would be enough. Some you win mate!
  15. Yes same at Berwick Saturday v Rockets I think. Pretty poor from Berwick late on after leading by 4 at Heat 9
  16. You and Arson Fire are bang on! Until Berwick start getting around tracks like Edinburgh, Rye House the best they can look at is just a top six
  17. Yes you corect in many points. Re Bellego as far as I can remember next weekend is the European Under 21 Final (not exactly sure where) and Bellego qualified.
  18. From what I see Berwick are one of only a handful of clubs in the country who produce any kind of regular updates by newsletter or similar. Again I cant see problem with Kus not being announced on a Wednesday, I am sure it came out next day. Plenty folk would not even have heard it. Fact that Kus and riders from other clubs eg Glasgow lads miss meetings is hardly the fault of the club. Most ride on their Federation Licences and with the best will in the world clubs cant get it 100% on fixtures and riders missing. I imagine if say Kus did not ride in his national League or Championships and ride for Berwick it would be ta ta to his UK business in 2014, sure his Fed would soon see to that. While Berwick and other fans complain about riders missing I see Bellego is due in Euro Under 21 Final sometime next weekend (Redcar your visitors) And there is no facility for that if it clashes. One answer, join the NL then you will have a team of Brits who should normally not be abroad..Certainly cheaper to run!
  19. The good thing about the Berwick team is of course strength in numbers and a big high scoring reserve, thats what wins matches normally. I imagine Kus will move up in September but probably Wethers or Bellego at reserve not bad or better still, Jensen.
  20. It has but unless they get maybe a bit luck you would imagine due to home track dominance that Edinburgh or Somerset are favourites. One good thing about the Berwick team is that there always seems to be a rider to come up trumps if others maybe have off night?
