  1. Well said Tim! Thanks to all for the information tonight in whatever form.
  2. Unlikely as i think we might have run out of 'off race nights'. Must be there turn to change nights this time.
  3. Following @Gazettespeedway on Twitter seems to work as well.
  4. Thanks for that as can't believe there aren't any updates tonight! Redcar forum doesn't want to work either for me.
  5. The club have used all the dates available for off nights already this year I believe with the cup replay against Edinburgh being the last thing they wanted to have to run. A big thank you from me to all who played in/attended or just helped for the golf day yesterday. I think a great day was had by all and the Air Fence Fund moved nicely in the right direction as well! I am sure Statman will issue the exact amount raised in his press relaese in the next few days.
  6. Weather looks set fair for tomorrow so hopefully it will be a great day for the Rebels Golf Day raising funds for the Air Fence Fund and then a great evening of racing in the KO Cup Final 1st leg. Hope everyone enjoys both events. Oh why can't everything be as simple as it seems in Oldtimer's world! Don't think this is through choice but necessity of dates running out.
  7. You can't stand in the way of up and coming riders representing their country. It is a shame they aren't going to be there but i am sure it will attract a big crowd, even bigger if you attend OT!I think the dates issue at this stage of the season was a deciding factor. Quite possibly, hadn't thought of that. Think you hit the nail on the head there! I would expect the Rebels to be too strong at home for the Rockts even without Nick and Alex. With R/R for Nick Doyley can take an extra ride also.
  8. Its on our website now. http://www.somersetrebels.co/homepage Will be R/R for Nick and a guest for Alex I think.
  9. Just added a little bit extra to the golf day that has! I'm sure you have a great guest already lined up for Alex? Doyley isn't i believe.
  10. Job done for the Rebels. I guess now Alex is a year older he has found a way of getting around Armadale!
  11. Looks pretty good to me Najjer! Not sure Cookie could guest for Lewis though?
  12. Strange sort of meeting as the racing wasn't great but the scoreline kept it exciting. Rebels definitely missed Doyley and looked out of it after ht 12 but this Rebels team never knows when it is beaten and pulled the win out the fire yet again in 2013. Ipswich look a very solid side, making some great gates tonight and we may well meet again i reckon. Captain Alex was superb throughout and got an early 21st birthday present for tomorrow with The Rebels topping the table. Josh was slow to start with but came up with big wins in hts 13 and 15 when it mattered, think he enjoyed ht15! Alex and Charles rode an awesome race to keep Lanham at bay in ht 14 to put the Rebels in the lead for the first time. Kyle has probably never tried as hard for just 5 points, if effort was rewarded in points then he would have easily doubled that score. Anders did ok but didn't really look quick enough whilst Daryl was dropped in the deep end against two good reserves for his PL debut. Heeps was superb for the Witches as was Lanham plus the reserves at separate times. Surprised to see Tungate and not Lanham in ht 15 as well. Risager was poor and although he tried he never really looked like making a pass stick. So Rebels finish top of the League and have another Trophy for their cabinet, lets hope it is not the last one they get in 2013. Roll on Wednesday.
  13. I think he was bothered and looked to be trying hard but nothing was happening for him. He is usually very good at the OTA but just couldn't get it to work tonight. Made a ridiculous flyer in ht 7 as well (although the updates said it was Wethers) but went backwards on the slick surface. Starke deserved more than his points as well tonight.
  14. I was pleased to read your version so went back to see any other news about Lewis only to find the additional word :-( Hope Lewis is ok?
  15. You missed a vital word of Lewi Kerr's tweet that went before Lewis Rose i'm afraid. The tweet was: 'hope @Rose822 is ok,whatever happened not acceptable to headbut a 15 year old. For the record we was not aloud near Lewi rose on track.'
  16. Sounds like Lewis Rose may have been injured at Saddlebow Road tonight. Said he was taken to hospital after a crash in ht 10. Hope he is ok? If not where do we go for a NL guest? Tom Perry maybe?
  17. Did he score many at that vast arena that is the Plymouth saucer last week????? I believe he gained us a point in ht 15 there. I'm sure he will know that he hasn't produced his required form and be pretty disappointed with himself. It wouldn't surprise me to see him knock in a couple of double figure returns in the next two days. Chin up Alex! Yet again the Rebels score 40 points away from home but end up with nothing. I think they have now scored over 40 pts in every fixture that has been completed by them this year. Impressive stuff I think.
  18. First sample of live speedway this year and thought it was a pretty entertaining match. Track was slick but thats down to the weather but riders still made it work and had some good close racing. Josh was superb against his former club with stunning 4th to 1st ride to complete things in ht15. Alex was solid apart from losing 2nd to Bager in ht 3 when he didn't look at his quickest, Nick was up and down but didn't lack effort. Kyle was unlucky as i am sure he didn't really cause Ringwood to fall in ht 6 to earn the exclusion he received from Mrs Turnbull. The guests at reserve did the job required and Paul Starke got better as the night went on as he sussed the setup needed to get him off the start. Morley did ok when he made the gate and mixed it at times. Shame to see Screeny missing but Kozza did a pretty good job with 11. I was impressed with Anders Thomsen who was probably worth more than his 4 points, looked quick out in front. Probably not a 7pt rider at moment but will be in future. Bager battled hard and i thought he had scored more than the 7 he did. Compton was awful until ht 14 when he was suddenly on the pace for a couple of laps, a shadow of his former self. Grieves was also a shadow of his former self but in the other direction! Was that really him under that crash helmet, the self confessed OTA hater actually looked pretty good in his first 3 rides! Ringwood was average and Jacobs looked impressive in ht 2 but faded somewhat later. All in al a decent meeting to watch especially in shirt sleeves for the first time ever for me at the OTA since it opened!
  19. Didn't see that result coming after reading the updates after heat three! They didn't just win but also got the maximum 3 pts whilst a strong Newcastle team got nought. Well Done to all the Rebels and get well soon Kyle.
  20. Will it be a replacement or guest for Stefan i wonder? Been scoring some useful points of late for the Rebels and will be missed. Have read elsewhere that it is 4-6 weeks out for a broken collarbone. Can't even have Lewis Kerr to guest on Friday can we!!
  21. Mine thanks. Couldn't tell you what his words were to be honest wasn't really listening to the interview. If they were the same then great minds and all that..... :-)
  22. Tabaka hit Nielsen much harder in heat 14 but Nielsen stayed on. Maybe he should have slid off and tried to get a fellow racer excluded. I stand by my opinion that Sneddon gambled and won this time.
