  1. Not for me. We do need to make this change though. We’re so close to having a real go and it would be shame to waste it because we didn’t act when needed. Someone said previously that Heeps and Allen will remain at reserve a while longer, but that’s not going to be the case long term. We simply can’t lose that reserve advantage because I don’t see Bellego being as potent as those two down there. We have a little break now, a change MUST be made if we’re serious about having a real good go.
  2. Get in. Got away with one there! Silly mistakes early on and badly missing Allen we’ve done incredibly well to still pick up 3 points. Very encouraging. The team isn’t far off being genuine challengers we just need to make one team change, and get Allen fit. Thankfully we now have a little break.
  3. Have to agree. Put in a decent replacement for Bellego and get Allen fit and this team is genuine challengers. Heeps/Allen is a deadly reserve partnership and remains our strong point.
  4. Track was awfully tricky though to be fair. Was always going to improve once it slickened off
  5. Anyway, been plenty of overnight drizzle and forecast is for a dry day. Should make for a decent race track hopefully. Still concerned about the loss of Jake, he’s been a pivotal factor in our strong start to the season and for that reason I think it could be very close either way tonight.
  6. Must admit I’ve thought twice about it! Can understand those that have BT sport staying at home. I’m expecting a poor crowd tonight I don’t think they’ve done enough with this golden ticket thing. Needed to do more IMO.
  7. I’m sure there’ll still be a few of us “lemmings” in attendance.
  8. And only 3+1 At Newcastle this evening. Bang on form!
  9. Good to see Drew getting to grips with riding in the main body of the Sheffield side so early. A great 11 points including a pass on Kevin Doolan which is no mean feat around Berwick!

  11. I doubt anyone would go that far Baldy. IMO they were probably the least entertaining of our home meetings so far, but they weren’t terrible. Mind you I thought the Swindon meeting was pretty good, which Shrub attended and thought was poor so like you say, everyone is going to have different opinions. Neither of the two away meetings I’ve attended this year have been better than anything I’ve seen at Foxhall. And I have to say, that goes for the majority of last year in the Championship too.
  12. Couldn’t disagree more. Respect your opinion though
  13. I don’t see any “attack” on Poole at all. Like I say, he seems to me to make valid reasonable points but hey ho.
  14. Totally agree. I’ve seen nothing wrong with Gavin’s posts whatsoever. In fact, he seems to make some very good valid points. The reaction from others is bizarre to say the least.
  15. Have to agree. Both those meetings you couldn’t say were classics (Bank Holiday Monday was always going to be difficult as a day meeting) but like you I’ve seen far worse. The other home meetings have been much better though and I’ve already said we’ve been treated to some great racing this season. Lets see what Monday brings in front of the cameras for everyone to see.
  16. Agreed. You obviously don’t want to see ANY rider injured, but in terms of the team, he’s the one we’re going to miss on track the most at the moment. Bates is a decent choice though so it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on.
  17. I was going to say before he posted himself that Baldyman never used to visit the official website or the local paper websites. I doubt he’s alone either. Plus, always better and more interesting to hear such things directly from a promoter himself than a journalist imo. Seems anything is fair game for a little pop on here these days though Was just trying to be helpful.
  18. It’s for the benefit of those on here that don’t go on either clubs websites or read the Poole echo.
  19. He’s a good egg is Chris. Ask him a question and more often than not he’ll give you a reply. Pity more don’t do the same.
  20. Think that was a tongue in cheek comment I don’t think any of us really think we’re going to win the title this year. All most of us wanted in our first season back in the top flight was to see some good racing, and to be competitive and so far we’ve succeeded on both counts.
  21. Well then it’s a crying shame there aren’t far more people like me then isn’t it. The sport would be much better off. I wont let a rider missing here or there or rules being tinkered with that to us outsiders, make little sense, put me off going to support my local Speedway team. Others feel differently, that’s their prerogative of course. Theres ALWAYS been all sorts of shenanigans going on in Speedway as far back as I remember, even in the “glory days” of the 70’s and 80’s! Some of them far far Dodgier than what goes on today.
