  1. Would be more than happy with a point but no points at all wouldn’t be a disaster. We had 3 consecutive away meetings, Peterborough, this and Belle Vue before we ride again at home. Before Peterborough if you’d said we’d take a point from each to keep us ticking along I think most would probably have taken it. We took 4 away from the Showground so anything from this and Belle Vue would be an added bonus.
  2. 3 tricky looking away fixtures on the bounce. Think our best chance of points is Peterborough away next Monday. Important we take at least a point from that as I don’t fancy us taking too much from Swindon and Belle Vue.
  3. Bellego? He needed dropping by us as he just couldn’t get to grips with Foxhall and that hit his confidence. Definitely the right decision despite what the Swindon mob claim. But, he’ll find Belle Vue much more to his liking, get his confidence back up and he’d prove a very good signing I’ve no doubt.
  4. Are people doing this on purpose? Or are those up Norfolk way simply not the sharpest tools in the box? Ill go for the latter Edit: Tellboy excepted
  5. Lynn weren’t “beaten” at home, which is what he said. It was a draw.
  6. Nah Lambert was much better last time and I’d expect him to be better again on Thursday. Cookie is Cookie, one of the best around at Foxhall. Those two alone will make it a competitive meeting.
  7. https://ipswichwitches.co/ipswich-v-kings-lynn-raceday-preview-3/ Kyle Howarth guests for Allen.
  8. Summers was in decent form so expected more from him tonight. It can’t be understated what a fit Jake Allen brings to our team so to still be picking up league points without him is a huge credit.
  9. Team game this though. King and Lawson have played big parts in great results as well this season while others struggled. We have a team of inconsistent riders but when one or two have hit their off night, thankfully a couple of others have stepped up to the mark like tonight. We’re going great guns
  10. Fantastic result. Three points on Thursday now please to keep the Witches juggernaut rolling.
  11. Kebab tonight it is. Chicken, Kofta, or the bad greasy debatable “lamb” donner?
  12. https://ipswichwitches.co/ipswich-v-swindon-raceday-preview-2/ No KP, he’s fit, but has to “be in Polish court as a witness”..
  13. Bellego’s form abroad has always been good. Only a week or so ago he scored heavily somewhere (Sweden?) and we all said on here hopefully that gives him confidence and helps him kickstart his season for us. But no, back in his Witches kevlars and still crap.
  14. Was going to say brave or foolish but thought I’d leave it to someone else first. Just gotta hope he hasn’t done more harm than good and suffers a setback because of it.
  15. So it seems to be predominantly Swindon fans who think this is a poor move. Not surprising considering he’s a favourite there. I dare say he’d be a favourite at Foxhall if he reproduced his Swindon form here. Unfortunately all he’s produced is absolute guff.
  16. I know where he’s coming from too tbh. There’s no doubt Harris started on an inflated average and you just get the feel that if we had someone better on that average, it could really give us a genuine shot at the title. Im not saying he should definitely go, for a start I don’t see too many better options to replace him and he also seems to bed in well within the team and they all seem to get on well. One thing I have been disappointed about him though is the entertainment factor. Where is the “bomber” that you expect to see riding right out to the fence, wringing the throttle and reeling in those in front? people can’t say that it’s not the track for him to do that because we see Heeps using those lines all the time and Nico did as well. We just see Harris happy to float around mid track and they’re not the lines I was expecting him to be using.
  17. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion of course, but I think you’ll be in a minority here. 13 meetings and averaging 4.40. If Kennett doesn’t improve upon that average I’ll be staggered. We’ll see.
  18. Yeah but you also said pre-season that we were easily the worst side in the league and were certs for the wooden spoon
  19. Thought this was an interesting (and beautiful) picture from Jeff Higgott. This taken after the meeting, and just shows how much rain had fallen the previous evening and through the early hours of the morning. The track staff did well. The picture btw is taken from the infield half way down the back straight where Bob Ellis parks his tractor.
  20. “55 points in 13 meetings at an average of just 4.40.” Just seen this stat. He can’t have any complaints
  21. Really don’t think it does Steve. Hard to be weakened away from home by axing a rider who Belle Vue aside, has been absolutely dreadful!
