  1. We can’t ride the place it’s as simple as that. We battered you by 18 at Foxhall and still only crept over the line due to a masterclass from Doyle and Emil in 15 at your place. TTT is right, if we want to win the title this year we have to avoid Belle Vue in the semi and then hope Sheffield knock you out. Mind you, we have a little break in fixtures shortly and we badly need it. It’s hard enough going to the NSS for us with a full fully fit team, but a team carrying injuries this was always likely to happen. We badly need a breather.
  2. Sheffield can’t fit him in unless they swap him for Howarth which they’re not going to do. He fits at Leicester for Cook, or Oxford for Riss. Those are his only options really.
  3. Realism Geoffrey. Comments are simply based on actual facts. We’re cr@p at the NSS, as the stats prove. It COULD change on Monday in theory, although you won’t find many putting money on it.
  4. All a bit academic at the moment until Musielak is officially released/Replaced by Lynn. We still don’t know his exact intentions either, maybe he doesn’t want to sign for anyone in the UK for the rest of this season who knows. But yes, he’d be an excellent replacement for Doyle, goes well at Foxhall first and foremost, and also goes well at the two tracks that will likely be our biggest threat in the play offs.
  5. Reading the stats Badge, we raced 11 meetings there, 11 defeats. Tells you all you need to know really. We’re cr@p there.

  7. Oxford probably would have won at Foxhall earlier in the season when Tungate didn’t fancy it (sorry I mean was stuck in traffic) and Oxford had to run with 6 riders. We won by 6 in the end, with Oxford only having one representative in four heats. Lots of anomalies there though. Nicholls guesting FOR Oxford, not for us. But then Doyle was riding and we were at full strength. Harris and Janowski unbelievably scored seven between them! That won’t happen again. Harris far better at Foxhall than his score of 4, and Janowski is now riding far better than his score of three that evening. Does that mean anything regarding tonight’s meeting? No, not really. Which means all I’ve just typed was a waste of time and a load of old guff really
  8. Agree Badge. Vital member of the team who is riding really well.
  9. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-preview-oxford-rowe-motor-oil-premiership-r2-h/ As expected, Nicholls for Doyle.
  10. Agreed. I had to keep checking the programme to make sure it was actually him! Foxhall has to be one of if not THE best away track for him over the years.
  11. Leicester can’t use Edwards. They’ll have to pick an unattached rider from the rising star list.
  12. When Dan Thompson’s season ended early last year, Ipswich had to use Joe Thompson (unattached) and Jack Smith (unattached) from the rising star list as guests. Edwards also guested once, AFTER being dropped by King’s Lynn and therefore unattached.
  13. I know he was on the list, that doesn’t change what I’ve said. Why were Ipswich told he was ineligible to guest for their missing rising star, but Leicester haven’t? That list might just not have been updated. Edwards being named in the 1-6 means he’s no longer a rising star. Gilkes is the Sheffield rising star, you don’t run with two rising stars. Exactly the same happened a few years ago when Ipswich signed Anders Rowe who was on the rising star list, as their senior reserve at number 6. The same “rule” was applied then. Could be one of three things. Ipswich were given duff information and didn’t use Edwards on the back of it despite being free to do so. Leicester could have made a mistake and will have to do what Ipswich did and make a late swap. Or thirdly, they’re all just letting it go because nobody can really be @rsed with it all. My money’s on number three.
  14. Once Sheffield named Edwards in their 1-6, Edwards was no longer a “rising star”. Sam Hagon is the Leicester rising star, which makes Edwards ineligible. Again, Ipswich named Edwards as a rising star guest for Dan Thompson (Ipswich’ rising star) away to Birmingham, but had to make a late change and used Freddy Hodder from the rising star list after allegedly being told Edwards was ineligible to guest. Why is one club being told one thing and another the complete opposite?
  15. Dan Thompson was in the 1-5 away at Birmingham, and Edwards was booked to guest but wasn’t allowed, hence Freddy Hodder was drafted in late in the day. Reasoning being, Edwards is no longer a rising star this season despite being on the list at the start, so can’t replace another rising star no matter what position in the team they are.
  16. That was Ipswich. Edwards was booked to replace Dan Thompson when he had covid, but for the reason you say he wasn’t allowed so we had to use Freddy Hodder instead away at Birmingham.
  17. That heat 7 ride from Emil was fantastic . Took Masters right out to the fence allowing Rew to nip past on the inside to join him for a 5-1. Superb stuff.
  18. That caught my attention too Badge. So nothing imminent, but MAYBE they have an agreement with someone to come in from the start of July..
  19. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-preview-leicester-rowe-motor-oil-premiership-r1-h/ King back, Nicholls in for Doyle.
  20. All I can say is fair play to you Siggy, travelling with a poor forecast. Just wish our sport had more supporters like you!
