Everything seems to be seen as an own goal to you at the moment. Out of the picture are we.

Good silencer as well.

You have to remember juniors still want to do their best for themselves and their team. In the Northern Junior Jeague the races alternate between 500's and 125's so you only have 1 race interval to solve a problem. A warmed up second bike can get you out quick on a running bike, and deal with the fault sometime afterwards. Even juniors like to take all their rides for the teams sake.

Yes, but not a farce created by speedway which is what you seem to imply. How about a mention for StadiaUK.
-
No different from any other sport.
-
But it wasn't a farce at the time, was it.

Yep, saw them at New Cross in 1963 and Jimmy Squib was also riding.

I agree with your philosophy. This reduction this year is a deliberate attempt to lower the level of the Championship and get a bigger gap between the 2 top leagues. These are unusual times, and there might only be a small reduction, or none at all, next year if the overall objective is achieved.
-
No, you have picked my up the wrong way. Like I said 'move forward to stop a back flip" just in case with lower revs.

Wel that's the point when changing points totals as it skews the comparison for following years. Sometimes they ignore it because the difference has been 42, 42.5 and 43, and 45 I think, and the difference has been regarded as minimal. It was similar the the FTR in the then Elite leagues when riders like Kyle Newman and Adam Ellis were riding more against fellow FTR's and all of them got inflated averages for the following season. It's to be hoped that there will be a conversion ratio to make it a level playing field for following years, when it's probably 42ish which would be reinstated to maintain the standard of the league.

So why just mention Andre ? Anyway it's not our Thread. -
Surely the increase will all be relevant to everyone, giving common grounds. 12% across the board.

Glyn was replaced by Juul, Jesper had the collarbone break in our first meeting and Andre got a spiral fracture of his leg in P&P. Your point is what ?. -

Maybe you have expectations that can't be delivered at this point. If you expect to be challenging the top teams, dream on. The Mason's have put together a side that suits their budget in their first year in the Championship and you never know how that will spin out throughout the season. In 1997 when we opened up Newcastle, some fans had similar thoughts. One rider got injured and we replaced him mid season, whilst one rider got a broken leg in our Press and Practice meeting and our top rider got a broken collarbone in our first meeting. We finished 3rd at the end of the season. -
My point was that there is no huge pile of engines as you wanted to hint at.

1. Pleased to hear it is manageable, assuming you are meaning speedway debts. My main point was that I could not see BSPA allowing riders being sold and allowing Worky to keep the money if there was substantial debts. That situation would be shady with some promoters with them wriggling out of the debts they owe internally. 2. Yes of course, I had included loan riders who would obviously be back on the market under the control of their own promoters. Do the loan fees to these clubs get returned, assuming they have already been paid of course. 3. We talked about starting a NL team last year in the future but currently it would not be viable, mainly due to, as you say, the league being too southern based and BV being the nearest team for derbies. Also there is currently a shortage of Northern based riders of that quality who could stock that team. There was also the possibly of a combined team say with Redcar sharing the home meetings on an equal basis but, until the new riders appear like they will in future, that idea has to be on the back burner for now. New riders that could emerge on the 500 scene in the near future are Archie, Danny, Alex, Elliott, Jack W, Sam McGurk, following by Luke. Healthy prospects there.
-
What stockpile of engines ? I was told that the agreement that BSPA has with GTR was a large sum up front, and then a contribution to every engine sold up to a maximum number of engines.
-
Worky weren't at the AGM either were they.
-
Just to add about Northside. When the Bickley's ceased to run Northside, it was taken on by a junior rider's father Malcolm McCoy. During his time Laura has been extremely helpful to Malcom giving him her old shale and lending him a good tractor. With some considerable work Malcolm, has transformed the track, which he probably could not have done without her help. When Northside stopped riding official NJL meetings, Laura allowed the Northside Stars to ride at Derwent Park.

I am sure he BSPA would not allow the transfer of assets, if the licence holder has speedway debts. They would look after those within rather than let non promoters sell their assets and keep the money. in any case during this year, the 7 riders that Worky signed, will be controlled by the BSPA in the same way they control foreign riders.
-
Indépendant, and run by Malcolm McCoy.
-
I think the assets will come under the control of the BSPA, and if Worky has speedway debts(BSPA, Riders, other clubs) the BSPA will sell the Worky assets to pay off speedway debts as a priority.

Workington speedway folds......

Apparently a Glasgow fan is reported as breaking the news before the official Worky announcement. -
2 years 8 months, and had to sign the Sex Offenders Register and be on it for 10 years.
