  1. The speedway track was there many moons before the houses were being built, the house owners knew what they were buying and should have taken that into consideration. their solicitors would have done the searches etc during the purchases and would have informed them before they completed. I have absolutely no sympathy whatsoever with the house owners. There are many new housing estates from which to choose from in Swindon and surrounding areas.
  2. No got home and it was dry, seemed to be gone east. The ITV weather chap forecast it at lunchtime .
  3. Me too. Got to the M4 services just after 5pm and it rained heavily no sign of a break, turned round and we returned home, so glad we missed that fiasco
  4. Absolutely fantastic win for Rosco and the Robins, you were great. CONGRATULATIONS Huge track advantage at Wolves so extra special
  5. Just the sort of comment expected from you, for your information I am in no way a part timer and find your nasty post as offensive as you are!!!!!!
  6. Totally agree with you there Steve, was just about to post similar and see you beat me to it. Photo looks good on the website too. Terrific atmosphere , loved hearing the famous Blunsdon Roar for our " Rockin Robins".
  7. Are you for real or are you always so nasty? Other Poole fans must be embarrassed at your insulting comments to other teams supporters, Very kindergarten !!!!!!
  8. I hope this useless ref. is never allowed near a speedway meeting again. He totally messed up what should have been a good evening for the fans, was treating the red button like a kid with a toy, I am sure if he hadn't been so OTT right from the start of the meeting, that awful accident wouldn't have happened. There was no consideration for any of us frozen supporters either after the ambulance returned, or the long journey some of us had to make home, we arrived back at five mins to midnight. Still thawing out now !!!! Wishing Jack Smith a speedy recovery. Saw people leaving after the first 4 heats.
  9. Well ! Just got home to Bristol, what a total waste of time and petrol that was, we sat in the car in the car park and it was absolutely obvious when that deluge came down that there was no chance of the match taking place, we left not bothering to wait for the rain off to be called. Somerset fans were there, even a coach, still the car park staff were collecting the money from a few people coming in, do they ever refund anyone !!!!! Got to the services on the M4 to see on phone start was delayed to 8.30 by then we were very brassed off . So glad we came home instead. If it at all iffy weather on thursday we will not be bothering.
  10. Wolves did us a favour, glad he is our asset. Now for tomorrow COYR !!!!!
  11. Got to hand it to Batch too, a very good guest !!! Well done to all Rosco,s Robins !!!!!
  12. Sounds like "Sour Grapes" to me, I was there and the crowd was good, considering we expected to lose without our No 1. Was a nice evening and people were spread out all around. Did not see any B V fans, but I came away very proud of the Robins .All in all a very satisfying match. I hope the boys do the same tonight.
  13. Thoroughly enjoyed that match, Batch was worthy of the Man of the Match award. Good racing and exciting to watch, ref Turnbull made one of the worst decisions in Heat 14 I have ever seen, she should apologise to Bradley.
  14. Yet another wasted journey from Bristol, was pouring down on the M4 and still it hadn't been called off. All the forecasts I have seen today gave the weather as getting bad by 3pm for Swindon. There was a huge swathe of rain and thunder as seen in post 33 by "Chun" above. A very accurate link I would say.
  15. Many thanks, you saved us having to go all the way to the stadium, we turned around as soon as we left the M4, gutted !!!!
  16. Certainly was, we have just travelled to Swindon and had to turn around to come straight back to Bristol in sunshine and dry all the way down the M4, Wish someone would consider the travelling fans. If it wasn't for Orlov's post on the BSF, I wouldn't have seen the rained off information on my phone. Nothing on the website !!! Other half fuming !!!!!
  17. I live in Saltford where Zack comes from, had no ideal we had a speedway rider in our village. Will certainly be cheering him on then !!!!
  18. Yes that is true , the stadium was being run on a giant generator at the last speedway meeting. We arrived there at 6pm and the Power Company were just leaving. It was running on the back of a lorry just inside the gate all evening, we asked and were told they were going to put the electric cables underground, hence the generator.
