Well allow the reserve to replace a rider at any time but make the replacement permanent, so if a team decides to replace a rider for tactical reasons and another rider later is unable to race then they have no reserve left to use. Niamh

What a perfect demonstration that you simply have not idea of the patriotism in ones own country that forms GB. I'm sure a large majority of English speedway fans would be rightly upset if the team last night was referred to as Scotland. Yes as it happens all the riders were from England, but then they are not the entire team an the assistant manager certainly wasn't born in England. Up to a point, riders do lay their bikes down in order to avoid running into a fallen bike/rider in front. Call it the lesser of 2 evils to decide to come off in as controlled a manner as possible. Niamh

I remember some 20+ years ago having to get a visa/work permit/temporary residence permit to compete in a sporting event in Oz, if the application was handed in over the counter at the embassy in London complete with the relevant documentation for the organising body then I could pick up everything again after 4pm on the same day. Had to race on Ole Olsen gating tart slick specials that really didn't suit his skill set. Only Gollob and Hancock managed to score more points than Bomber in the last 4 GPs so what were all the riders you think are better doing in the last third of the season? 1 GP podium might be a fluke but 3 out of 4 to end the season and 4 podiums in total- How many podiums did these "better" riders achieve? My recollection is that only Gollob, Hampel and Crump had more podiums during the season. Niamh
