  1. Illegal is one thing but wrong is another, and debatable,Smoking a packet of Marlboro is legal but is it right or wrong? if alcahol was discovered today no doubt it would be made illegal Next time you drive 2 Mph over the speed limit are you classes as bad? Some of our laws are out of touch with reality, as are some people
  2. Yes,when l was looking for an Ipswich thread, there was a time when one didn't exist, then when one did appear I found that note slotted INTO someone else's post, but anyway, that thread was locked The "Mod" should have said don't go starting up threads and I'm found this that and whatever
  3. Bit difficult to sit by when trolls get personal and hateful on riders, natural thing is to challenge the poster and quite rightly so,things should be left to work themselves out,we're all adults here and should be able to take some stick If things got too hot, remove the root of the problem and things will soon settle and be forgotten, banter and p*** take don't dare say in)are part of any board I use Definitely the easy way out to delete that thread, lots of reference lost there, very poor work I'm afaid
  4. Gotta be in LA,its a no brainer really,Home Depot would be a great venue too, shame to go to NZ for a one off GP when there are places like OZ and the US that seem fair game for one
  5. I quite agree that the pit interviews,I actually believe that whole area is poor,as for a choice of co-commentator,I thought Rosco was ok recently, far better than Tatum's usual drivel, maybe they should keep trying new faces,or give Norris another call?
  6. The Premier clubs will have nothing to do with the Elite League if they know what's good for them,if it was nearly financial suicide in 1995 it may well be even worse now
  7. Say he who had no opnion in the thread at all as to how he'd get on! Well done Tai,I think he's suprised everyone actually, and certainly exeded my expectations, hope it continues..
  8. A Wildcard is exactly that,we had the chance to see a different face, weather through qualification or not BSI might have bought the series but anyone would've thought they'd have done what would go down best with the public?? I can't really see any complete logic, you could easily have put ED or Scottie in afterall,or indeed see any alterior motive for the descision or even a big sponsor pushing or backing the move..
  9. Quit moaning all you haters,we're watching GP Speedway aren't we?? Keep Jonno and Wade pleeeeeaase... IMO no studio drivel and pits reporting asking the same obvious questions was better but what the heck, the commentry was very interesting and fun, Shame the ref made 2 bad descisions that's all Great peice on Greg too, great way to go Thanks Eurosport
  10. Excellent coverage, quite a breath of fresh air,Wade and Jonnno to stay please! I'd much rather have more camera work in the pits like there was, than the woeful drivel from the studio and pits interviews asked the same questions and talking about the obvious Only downfal wasn't the coverage but the $hite Ref
  11. They get paid a guaranteed amount of money per week,a good score of points in meetings and they're exceeding that figure, usually someone puts them up so so they have no overheads and get fed etc,if they pick up a few sponsors as the Aussies often so you can see how they make progress In rrelation,I suppose the biggest trade off for being away is that they don't have the other commitments or costs etc British riders might have
  12. I have to agree with you unfortunately, that the EL is a pale shadow of what it used to be,and it might seem quite unlikely to many that SKY will renew the contract year Eurosport cover a lot of sports extremely well,Im sure theGPs wouldn't be any different, personally I'd be glad to see the end of the studio guests, its mostly the same talk every week, maybe have Keith Huewen,Pearson and possibly Tatum in a studio for commentry. The league could see the two latter and that's it for all I care The biggest plus for most would be the ability to ditch SKY Sports totally as Eurosport is on the £26.50 package
  13. Pedersen Safutinov Ward I'm not too sure about Holder with the pressure of being WC,I think Lindback may well finish above him As for the old, guard of Gollob/Hancock,I think they might slip down the order a little
  14. Ward obviously has the same things to deal with as most youngsters growing up but also has the added things involved as a top Speedway rider,a teenager earning a huge amount of money with the fame of being at the level he's at must be naturally overwhelming at times. The winning and people often falling over themselves to cater for his every whim must leave him with an air of invincibility, maybe he needs to move away from Middlo and steer towards someone with more of Ford's make up,Middlo is often seen as one of the boys which is fine at times but maybe isn't the right person to be acting as this father figure we often hear of with regards to Ward,( If he really has visa problems or whatever and struggles to make the start of the season,it might be a bit of a wake up call,a fine like that isn't going to even register when he can earn way more than that in one meeting at the weekendl
  15. Well we'll soon see if his inclusion is justified, its the credibility of the series and picks that is my main concern, yes a lot of Monster logos seem to be floating around him, ironically,as pointed out, there's no TV coverage,I don't know how that's gone down with them, dissappointed I'm sure
  16. So NOTHING has changed, the Semi-Final picks are done out of sight, Ironically this whole Thread is futile,as the whole thing is done out of sight now anyway isn't it??
  17. In my option MJJ is also far more worthy than Woffy of that GP place but do find White Knight contradicts himself in a sense because in 1973 you had a one off Final with the unpredictability and excitement etc with a suprise winner which he applauds but then it was the exact race format that MJJ failed the quaify for the GPs
  18. Jensen has proved his worth on the World scene as a very capable asset to the series,I don't see how anyone could think that Woffinden is a better pick,he's not in the top 15 in the World and not in on merit. Also MJJ didn't exactly go into the qualifier with the best preparation, clearly someone was out to get him I'm pretty sure you'll find Woffinden is in or will be in the Monster fold,(he share's the same sponsors as the TT's)if they have any influence in Wildcards it's not a good way for things to go surely?? This is nothing personal against Tai,great rider,I just feel others would have been more worthy of a chance and we should see new riders in the series,Tai now gets a second bite of the cherry and I'm sure he'll make the most of it, Anyhow I'm pretty sure he won't worry too much as afterall it says across his knuckles "DILLIGAF"
  19. In the circle of those interested I've spoken to its around 80/20 that disagree with'Tai's inclusion, token brit, comes across with a bad attitude, not good enough and MJJ not being included are the main points raised, having said that, all the best to him Personally I've stated before that he's now had a second inclusion without qualifying and MJJ has proved his worth in the GPs and SWC and I think its a missed opportunity leaving him out
  20. How M.J.Jensen has been overlooked is beyond me,personally I think he's a phenomenal talent,he's more than capable of doing damage in the GP series, and he was seriously fast in the SWC to add to his resume too,Woffinden unbelievably now get's a second chance without actually qualifying, Am I right in thinking that's now 5 Monster "Athletes" in the series??
  21. I was thinking the same thing with the camera shot of the empty seats in front of the start.
  22. Crowds do look down in general which is understandable in the economic climate I suppose,Cardiff will be the real test if the trend is down
  23. For me the Monster Energy sponsorship says it's going to happen sooner or later
