  1. Let's just hope that the DIAMONDS can sparkle for you tonight. Pleased to hear about the Exams.
  2. It would be a tragedy for Speedway if Brandon closed. I hope that something can be done to prevent that happening.
  3. I would like to add my Congratulations to Barry Wallace too. FIFTY years - my goodness that is some record of service. WELL DONE BARRY!! If there is a better Announcer in Speedway - I haven't heard him. A really good bloke who has time for everyone. Thanks a lot Barry - I hope to hear that voice of yours for many years yet.
  4. Great to read this positive News on Ricky. Still praying for you Ricky. Keep fighting.
  5. This IS Speedway you know - it will take time to get it right.
  6. A very friendy one. My Pal and myself enjoy the good natured Banter with the Newcastle Supporters and they are great with us. We have a lot of fun and enjoy the racing. I hope that we made former Newcastle Speedway Supporters as welcome when we (Sunderland) had Speedway Teams in 1964 and the Seventies. I think we did. Speedway is different to Football - we can pull each others legs without thumping each other. :approve:
  7. Yes - I did. .................. and you are right.
  8. Super Post Dave - and you are 100% correct. If the rain at the Track was anything like the rain we had in Sunderland at approximately the same time - then the 'Rain Off' came as no surprise to me. I was disappointed, but I totally understand the reasons. Good call by the Promotion - Riders can be hurt on saturated Tracks and we don't want that. Yippeeeeeee!!! Great News for those who use the Stand. Also for me as it will become less congested around where I stand. I will possibly not have to keep nipping down the front to see. :approve:
  9. Aye - all the very best in your Exams DIAMONDS - I hope you do well.
  10. I was fortunate enough and privileged enough to meet Malcolm Simmons once. He was a very kind and gentle man during our conversation. He was a 'Star' who was prepared to give of his time to talk to me. It was only about three years ago. He was someone who I admired so much as a Rider. For me Malcolm came from the 'Golden Age' of British Speedway when our British Teams ruled the World. Simmons was one of the biggest jewels in our crown in those days - would that there were more like him today. My Prayers and Best wishes are with you and your Family at this time Malcolm. Thank you for the Memories and - May God Bless you!
