In as much as we were a pretty good not superb. Really do hate to say it even though our reserves were stronger than the Rebels Doyle, Morris make them more than slightly better than the Witches. We missed a opportunity that night at the Oaktree but sadly that happens too often. It would have meant nothing because Rebels were always going to prevail. We improved again this season its going in the right direction but hopefully next season we will close the gap even more. I haven't checked but I assume the top 4 didn't drop many points either. It was a cracking league with 5 teams still in with a chance of doing the unlikely knocking the Rebels off the top spot so late in the season. More of the same next season but with one particular change we can dust that space in the Trophy cabinet.

Yes but they had two Elite League riders missing and included Daryl Ritchings we had only one Elite League rider missing...........sorry Baldyman's assessment is nearer the mark.

A really wacky idea is, bearing in mind 14 league 3 LC 1 KOC=min 18 if same system as before top six call 2 more home 18, p/o finalists 19, + LC & KOCSF's & finals suggests a lot of teams could manage 22 home matches why knock all cups/offs on head and run h & a twice... top team is PL Champions. Trouble is not sure it would work as we are still a 4 day a week league. Cardiff GP Saturday, Pairs on a Friday, 4's & PLRC on Sundays the U21 changing to a GP system makes a dent in staging days(sure I have missed something) before we start unless you run utilising guests or NL replacements.. Imo the double up down system already has a major effect on availability and wont be improved by the inclusion of two brits in the EL however that manifests itself. Whatever happens we are still in the doggy do.

just to disillusion everybody....I would put it like 3 LC matches, 11 League matches states 14 though ie +3 so following the worse thing ever introduced the 2nd phase my money is on something that is a bigger dogs breakfast than that. As Mr Blobby says the only fair way is 11 home & away fair and equal. So at last the Elite gains some credibility(there is a novelty) by reinstating the missing fixtures ........so the Premier League ....I really do hope I am wrong.........

personally its been a pain all along and honestly unworkable. That was before the weather and play off deadlines raised their ugly heads.

Apparently on the new conversion rate to be announced that will be able to ride at 7 in a PL club.

I am sure it will be corrected if I am wrong, one of the reasons for the conversion rate being favourable to come down was to help Brits with the cutback in EL fixtures now this has been rectified ..............
