I make Kent's averages: Boxall 8.84 Compton 6.28 (unchanged) Morley 5.80 Coles 4.25 Woods 3.00 (unchanged) Kingston 3.00 (unchanged) Kirby 3.00 (2.47 in reality) That gives a team total of 34.17 but Kent look in the same problem as Stoke in that there aren't many big hitters without a club atm.
-
I make Buxton's averages: Wright 11.81 Atkin 7.75 (unchanged) McKinna 6.54 Williamson 3.81 Carr 3.61 (unchanged) Blacklock 3.51 (unchanged) Woolley 3.00 Average-wise the team fits but it would be good to know where Worrall & Kerr were, if we assume Lambert was in Germany.

I make Stoke's averages (with this being their fourth NL meeting): Reade 7.70 Smart 6.31 Hughes 6.12 Chessell 4.22 Priest 3.57 Tedham 3.57 Payne 3.00 Giving an impressively low team total of 34.49!

Brendan's back.

King's Lynn V Mildenhall (nl) - 3rd July
Islander15 replied to Mimmo's topic in National League Speedway
And there kids the problem in the NL atm as most fans aren't like you and won't turn up if a team isn't winning. Especially the standalone sides that have to put out a winning team as I'm sure the majority of fans want to see a successful club and don't have a higher league team to support for the trophies. As to tonight, Lambert will do his thing and KL will edge home a 3 league points win. -
Island V Coventry Storm 2nd July 2013
Islander15 replied to NeilWatson's topic in National League Speedway
@woz01. He gets a new average on July 26th but his next meeting after that isn't until August 6th. So he's at reserve for Coventry away and KL home. @ommer mon. You're basically right, along with him having seemingly sorted his machinery issues. -
National trophy don't count. And averages come into effect 7 days after the 4th meeting and then monthly.

Kent Kings V Isle Of Wight Koc 24th June

Care to explain the worst meeting comment? -
It begs the question though, why didn't Stoke keep Pickard for one more meeting because they could drop him within 7 days and still effectively have the points from his higher starting average, but he wouldn't have been straddled with a figure no-onewants to touch him on.
-
I know its opposite in that Pickard's average went down greyhoundp & Brendan's has gone up, but Pickard rode one meeting less so didnt actually get an average but Brendan has done enough to get an average so is he now saddled with 7.25? Or does he keep his 5.25 because he was dropped before his average became effective?
-
It's not shown on the BSPA site but Shane Hazelden should have a few average of 4.42 alongside Lewis Rose's impressive 7.27. It's not shown on the BSPA site but Shane Hazelden should have a new average of 4.42 alongside Lewis Rose's impressive 7.27.

Coventry's new averages become effective today (7 days after the Dudley loss) and Brendan averaged 7.25 from those 4 meetings. So does he now have an NL average of 7.25? Or does he keep his original 5.25 because he was dropped before it became effective? It seems similar to Pickard at Stoke last year but they dropped him a meeting before his average changed to avoid this scenario.

Officially National Trophy champions!!!!!!! Great effort lads
-
It has this past season with Watford, and seeing as they nearly went up attendances weren't affected. However I do think that they're should be a maximum of R/R plus two guests, anymore and you don't feel like you're watching your own team!
-
What size is the track? Good luck to all involved on the venture
-
It must say something somewhere though because Waldron has been reassessed as a 5.00. I'm not saying Nick would get a reduction btw.
-
I think you both missed my point but tbf I didn't word it as good as I could. Basically I meant Adam hadn't ridden the Plymouth track before that night (I'm aware of the awful conditions but Buxton isn't the best track either) and for one reason or another he didn't perform. Just because he's a talent doesn't mean he's going to go out and win races, which was the case. His performance on Sunday though was simply amazing, and I doubt many would have predicted that he beat Wright 3 times.
-
Completely agree. He may be a massive talent, but you only have to look at his score in the u21 semi at Plymouth to see he has to put some work into small tracks.

BBC Weather says rain from 9am til 8pm now, any chance of this being on Jayne?
-
But he wasn't signed injured, it wasn't until the press and practice that he felt it in his knee again. Ok then, you can say the same about Milden hall and Nathan Stoneman, its just that he's had no recurrence.
-
National Trophy action tomorrow! Should be a close meeting with the Islanders without Bekker and ridiculously not allowed a facility! Anyway any weather reports would be great as as the BBC has rain from 1pm til 6pm, and I'd rather not travel if it's off. Many thanks.
-
But Aussies were allowed in the NL then (think it was the CL at that time actually). Is Dyer 'British'?
-
Looks like captain Bekker will need to be replaced. He's suffering from knee ligament damage he felt at press and practice and needs an operation and a lengthy lay-off to cure it. Islanders have 8.29 to play with but I just can't see anyone out there on that figure! We missed a trick not getting Branford.
