  1. FROM all accounts there were some decent crowds at speedway meetings over the Bank holiday weekend. But how ridiculous, for example, that after tomorrow Poole don't have a fixture until June 29th.
  2. PAVLIC probably still in bed as he could crawl there in his pyjamas
  3. BUSTER hasn't said he will do it himself but engage others (Tony Steele and Craig Ackroyd would be among my choices) to help draft a far simpler set of rules rather than current ones which contain so many amendments and also to to envisage what they actually mean in practice rather than just theory. When I first read that Hall had been banned from riding for Birmingham I, too, thought it a poor decision but, on reflection, if the National League is indeed supposed to be a stepping stone for younger riders to move up the ladder then I can see the reasoning.
  4. WHERE have you been these past few weeks? It doesn't matter how many times it has been said before. Give the guy a chance to actually try and turn over a new leaf. He did go into detail about several things that are wrong and there is any chance for fans to voice their views at Belle Vue shortly.
  5. HE certainly took notice of what Pete Adams said during their time together.
  6. IF they are not complicated then many are at best a nonsense.
  7. TRACK update here ... http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/4902/olsen-banking-on-top-horsens
  8. ENCOURAGING comments by BSPA Chairman Buster Chapman in this week's Speedway Star about basically tearing up the rulebook and starting again. Someone is seeing the light.
  9. THEY wouldn't ;let me in! THINK British speedway is lucky to have the TV deal it has. Plenty of other minority sports, and that is what speedway is this country is sadly, would love to have the money Sky hand over. I have no idea whether Tai was offered any inducement by Sky or the BSPA as World Champion to race here. However, I can recall that years ago, certainly in the Ivan Mauger era, the World Champion was paid an additional fee, think it was £500, when he appeared at a British track. That added up to a tidy sum in those days.
  10. TOP name riders, better tracks, no guests, continuity of teams, no assets, contracted riders, less complicated rules, especially regarding averages... just for starters
  11. DON'T know to be honest. I do know that BSI and Ole are looking at every possibility of making the most of what space is available at the Principality but the floor area is smaller than in Melbourne and Warsaw.
  12. FINE in theory bit, as previously stated. don't think there is room.
  13. JUST had a text from his manager Susi ... All is going good ... I really hope so he will be ready for it ...
  14. AGREED but think the shape of the tracks in Melbourne and Warsaw presented more racing lines. Glad you enjoyed Warsaw ... long time to come from New York for an episode like last year. Wonder if anyone travels further to SGPs than you?
  15. NOT sure he can afford to change. Now only racing in Britain so his earnings will have been severely curtailed.
  16. HAVE enquired of Ole Olsen whether there is sufficient room at the Principality Stadium to replicate the Warsaw track but sadly there isn't.
  17. DOYLE has been testing a GTR but requires a very different set-up to Lindgren ... different riding styles, preferences, etc. Janowski has also been testing one. Meanwhile, the PJR GMs continue to reign supreme.
  18. LOTS of different opinions about gate positions LOTS to do with the shape of the track. Not sure they can replicate that at the Principality Stadium.
