AS stated before, I was sitting looking across the 3rd and 4th bends and while there were obviously some issues the riders didn't get into any great difficulty and most if not all seemed to be going at a fair lick. Hopefully what is after all only a very small area of a very large track can be sorted out fairly quickly. It is not as though the whole circuit is a problem, it's not.

YOU are right, this is not a temporary track, and the 10 per cent that wasn't right last night will be sooner rather than later. To be honest I was sitting at the end of the home grandstand by the third and fourth bends and although there was obviously an issue with certain areas none of the riders seemed to have any real problems while practising. And the fact remains that this is a magnificent speedway stadium that will, despite yesterday's debacle, do the sport proud in the future.

JUST because she has joined BT Sport doesn't necessarily mean she will have much in any involvement with speedway and certainly won't be the regular studio anchor alongside Scott Nicholls. -

NOT sure about that... -
BEEN thinking along those lines myself. When Briggo did his ride a few years back it was for the benefit of all those disabled former riders. Hoping to catch up with Alan Wilkinson at the opening on the NSS on the 19th. What a hero. And his wife Jean, too. So easy to forget those whose own lives are also turned upside down to say the least.

POINT of entry to the track ... lots of tyre packing between now and March 19th. -
PROBABLY not something people will avail themselves of every week but a nice treat now and then, special occasions perhaps, in pleasant surroundings and no doubt there will be a veggie option available.

SAME tuner (PJR) as Woffinden and Hancock I believe ... down to confidence with Chris. Has been at a low ebb since his accidents but if he can recover that no reason why he shouldn't challenge for the title again. -
SEEMS to be. Tough to think of other motor sports, cars or bikes, that don't have wet weather tyres. I'm no expert but countless conversations over the years with riders at all levels saying that a speedway tyre in the wet is next to useless.
-
SEVERAL riders will tell you that if they had a choice of tyres for wet conditions far fewer meetings would actually be call;ed off.

FOR the British Final? More than enough. Agree, Monday not the best night for travelling fans south of the Midlands. -

NP and KT will certainly provide the commentary. Not sure what BT's studio plans are. -
THE kink is there because that was part of the old Hyde Road circuit which Chris Morton is trying to replicate as near as possible.

WHEN I was there the straights were pretty long with wide, banked bends. Assured that everything is on schedule for March 19. Just hope the weather gods oblige. The BV management are unhappy with the drone photos going public, perhaps because of the misconceptions being aired here.
