STOCKLEY Park near Heathrow. A state-of-the-art IMG facilty. Also the home of VAR for Premier League football. -
THE FIM wanted more nations being able to compete, not just making up the numbers, but personally feel the Under 21 rule was foolhardy. Like the idea of two riders from the same country in a race but each squad could have three riders and introduce some tactics into who rides in what heats,

TV

IT didn't and that was the point I was making. It is a big sell to those who have no idea what speedway is and without local participation. And, of course, speedway tracks will have to be constructed all of which makes some of Eurosport Events promises to the FIM inherent in their contract tough to accomplish. I know from first hand knowledge how much work goes on behind the scenes to actually stage a SGP and it will be interesting to see how EE go about that. They paid the big (very big actually) bucks essentially for TV content (a bit like Eccelstone in the early days of his reign in charge of F1) but there is such more to it than that and the more SGPs (as promised) will require riders to think about their options unless they are paid the sort of money available in the Polish leagues.

DATES likely to be the same as originally planned for NSS
-
MONTHLY magazine and probably not sent first class and less time sensitive than Speedway Star. According to Royal Mail, surprise, surprise, all mail is treated equally.

CANNOT accurately answer that but obviously for production such as that being mounted at Ipswich must be a few thousand.
-
CANNOT possibly make it pay for that ... less than pint. Come on ...
-
THE key is also to ensure that the production is first class, as it will be for the British Final. That has to be factored into the asking price. Too often historically British speedway has endeavoured to do things on the cheap. A one-man band with a single camera won't work. Quality pictures, decent commentary, etc but this will cost. Personally, think £10 should be a minimum.

DO you want a round of applause? It would have been at the NSS had the government not changed course.

THEN get a refund and rebook when you know the date

DECISION made ... event will not be in Manchester https://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/8554/2020-monster-energy-fim-speedway It is my understanding that all those who have purchased tickets will be informed shortly of their options which will include transferring their tickets to 2021 or a refund.

ONE of my favourite stories about Kelly, who you had to love no matter what he got up to. When Kelly returned to Hull for his first meeting after finishing fourth in the 1979 World Final, behind fellow Viking Ivan Mauger, promoters Ian Thomas and Brian Larner presented him with a very fine canteen of cutlery to. commemorate his achievement. After the meeting, as the crowd was leaving, Ian spotted a fan carrying the gift. He rapidly approached and asked how she had obtained it. The answer was simple: Kelly sold it to her Ian actually bought it back ...

SO many happy memories and so many sad ones ...

AND as long as that is legitimate it will always happen. What happens on the track is only a part of any motorsport and that includes speedway. But, as has already been pointed out, the secret is getting both the machine (bike or car) in perfect harmony with the driver or rider. Hamilton and Bottas both drive Mercedes cars but they are very different and what works for one wouldn't work for the other. Otherwise they would be identical.

NEVER said that nobody cheats at sport. List is as long as your arm. And no doubt there has been cheating in speedway and maybe still is in on occasions in domestic racing. But the safeguards at the highest level, the World Championship, are stringent and if riders thought another was cheating they would not be slow in coming forward.
