  1. Quite possibly the worst challenge result for many a year. None of them have or will add much to the GPs.
  2. Woffinden, Lambert, Cook, Bewley, Worrall (S), Ellis got to be nailed on - maybe the likes of Garrity/Howarth be thereabouts? vs Holder (J) and (C?), Batchelor, Morris, Masters, Kurtz, Doyle
  3. Just had to cancel a double room at Premier Inn about a mile or so from stadium - hopefully they'll offer it out to someone, was only cancelled 5 mins ago.
  4. Should we really be having any prize money for the challenge? The top 3 and a spot is prize enough, surely? I also don't necessarily agree with local wildcards either. I can get the thought that it improves the crowds; but, again, it's a GP challenge so surely that should be attraction enough? It also should only be about the meeting and results, crowds should be second to that. Just imo.
  5. Matej Zagar Antonio Lindbäck Janusz Kolodziej Krzysztof Kasprzak Jack Holder Niels Kristian Iversen Kenneth Bjerre David Bellego Kevin Wolbert Craig Cook Max Fricke Hans Andersen Shaping up to be the worst GP Challenge field for some time?
  6. So Garrity gets booked earlier in the week to replace Bjerre, that doesn't happen so now he replaces Howarth instead. Strange. A lot of toing and froing for a routine away win.
  7. Speedway could do with more of that. He should've tried saying it to Wilson/Matousek though, wouldn't have gotten out of there alive.
  8. I'm no fan of Poole but yet again it's just clever management by them. Kildemand wasn't a fully fledged GP Rider and therefore doesn't need reassessment. Bit of a farce being allowed a replacement at this stage due to an obscure non-speedway reason but nothing more to it than that.
  9. The Tyne Tweed trophy looks a treat, there's about 8 reserves across the 2 sides.
  10. Here's something that passed through my idle mind last night: Has there ever been an occasion where a single club has had the same 1-7 but in separate years (i.e. with more than a seasons gap, so not just consecutive years)? I can't imagine this has ever happened but I'd be interested to know for sure. If it hasn't, does anyone know the highest amount of riders in one side that would meet the criteria?
  11. Might be reading too much into it following the speculation about his future, but this strikes me as a strange thing for a Glasgow rider to say: A delighted Bewley said: "It feels great and it's nice to be able to win this for Belle Vue Colts as well as myself. "They were one of the clubs along with Edinburgh who gave me my break in speedway and I can't thank them enough along with Craig Cook who recommended me to both of them.
  12. If Sedgmen does sign, are we going to ignore the fact a Brit has been directly dropped for a poorer Australian version?
  13. Imagine being in this situation and relying on that spineless moron Horton to solve it. Fingers crossed Bees.
  14. The question is: can Holder compete with Lambert? You can rule Helium out of this situation too, he's going right to the top.
  15. Best speedway news I've seen all year. Brilliant.
  16. If Rose did indeed join PL in 2013 (presumably getting a MA) then the reduction applied to the next 3 seasons (14/15/16) so no longer eligible. Not so sure about Lambert?
