Think he’s been off the bike for a while hasn’t he before the Aussie champs after his injury? Still managed to beat most of the top riders at one point or another during the series.

I think that’s a bit harsh. Clearly a pale shadow of the rider he once was but it’s still in there. Away performances at Ipswich and Lynn last year showed he can still do it, and he got 10? last home meeting against Belle Vue? Not suggesting he will be much better next year but my heart says give him a farewell year at the showground and he could probably still average 5.5-6.0 if he can stay clear of injuries.

I doubt that would be seen as being in the best interests of British speedway….especially if he was pinched from under the nose of Louis

Did enough towards the end of the season to deserve a team spot this year.

After the lad that finished 5th, it’s a bit of a stretch to suggest that was a strong line up. If he hadn’t beaten the rest of them that would have been a concern……

I think the important take away from that is that he’s still very heavily involved in the club which can only be a good thing.

Maybe but he’s loyal to the club, and a good team man and with that line up, there’s a lot of big egos so someone like Hans in there to help them all gel could be a bonus.

So we’ll get to see him racing his own teammates again then…. think I’d rather stick with NKI….

Could be right but Belle Vue weren’t that hot away from home last year and they did ok in the end. An unblemished home record goes a long way to getting you in to the playoffs….
