What’s the latest situation?

The rising star system is pointless if you aren’t going to protect their position in the team and look to replace them if not going so well or a better option comes along. It’s supposed to be a long term view to produce good riders to represent GB so ditching one after a few meetings because it may improve your play off chances is daft.

Really can’t see the season starting any time soon. Too many riders are going to be hit by the travel restrictions and if meetings do go ahead crowds will be well down putting a lot of clubs at risk.

Round Peterborough on the evidence of last year I’d say yes.

I would assume they are referring to all the events that use the showground in full, not just the arena. A number of the large shows that are there use the full area including the speedway track / grandstand. I have no idea what the BB arrangements are for those events but would assume the same as they are using for speedway this year?

Seems a bit odd that he would agree to do the Ben Fund meeting on the clubs P&P day then?

Would prefer summers but wells isn’t a bad option either. Tidy looking side now that was worth the wait ;-).

My point being that did they do it because they thought it would p*ss people off and got a kick out of that or knew it would alienate some people but felt it was a decision they needed to make, rightly or wrongly. Maybe I’m being naive but I find it hard to believe they would purposely set out to do this just for kicks....always more to everything than meets the eye. A shame they weren’t questioned on this in person at the recent event over the weekend unless somebody here did bring it up with them?

Maybe it was the only viable date for this? I do like how certain people always jump to the conclusion that the management are the route of all evil with the perception they make decisions just to p*ss people off.....

Maybe those ultimately in charge don’t think he is completely useless and may be in a better position to make that judgement?

Struggling to see how that has any impact on NKI deciding to ride for us or not?? Didn’t seem to worry Hans or any of the other riders that we’ve signed with Carl as TM??

Think it will be Ulrich down to some of his performances at the end of last year but a lot of those could do a decent job partnering BWD at reserve.

Not negative just realistic. Loved him when he rode for Peterborough but just can’t see how he can get near to the average he’s been saddled with. Could be wrong but riders struggle when coming back from a few months out, let alone 8 years.

I’d say a winning team will draw in bigger crowds than a struggling team with a big name number 1 well off his best.

Genuinely curious to know what you expect. You’re very vocal on here with your disapproval of everything the management does so interested to know what information you expect from them regarding team building?

What information are you expecting them to tell you. If they are in negotiations with a number of riders you can’t expect them to name them all or talk about the terms of potential contracts etc?

Interesting listen and sounds positive for a decent No.1. Worth a few people on here having a listen especially his comments on taking time to put the team together.
