In a sport that is obsessed with making every team as equal as possible it is very difficult to see any alternative. The only other alternative is squads, and with riders been paid on performance again I don't see how that would be possible.

The semi final in my opinion was lost for Glasgow with the performances by Worrall and Bach at Sheffield, the Glasgow team were carried by a very good Aaron Summers, Richie Lawson and Nike Lunna. In the home leg, it was the reserves, and Lunna and to a lesser extent Bach, they had the perfect opportunity and should have wrapped it up by around heat 10/11, but they only very once had the aggregate lead once, and that was in heat 5, and I reckon by heat 10/11 the panic started to creep in and they bottled it. Did we get an advantage with the Guests and Rider Replacement, hand on heart I don't think we did, when I saw who was booked as Guests I thought that we would get roasted. Glasgow trying to buy titles, well if you got the cash to spend why not , anyone who complains about them splashing the cash is for just jealous. Play off final, its Somerset's to lose, the list of suitable Guest riders is shrinking by the day, so I think that we will be at a distinct disadvantage, and not forgetting that Somerset have already been to our place and spanked us good and proper so we really do start rank underdogs. But if by some strange quirk we do pull it off it will be known as the Howarth Double.

Meeting off. -
If they do go with 2 British 3 pointers at reserves with a 40 points limit, that would leave 34 points for the top 5. The average points used by teams at the startof the 2016 comes out at 34.51. So implementing those new rules would suggest a weakening of the product. Those riders who have averages of 9 points or more could be forced out of the league due to the decrease while teams try to find a balance for their teams.

All depends upon what the points limit, stays at 42.5 then it will make more points for teams top 5.

Fully agree with about the riders, but I do wonder why you would want to punch someone in the head when they are wearing a crash helmet is beyond me unless you can aim a punch like Craig Boyce. Mechanics is a different matter, and Josh will pay the price for that, it quite a few years since Vissing got done at Sheffield and failure to control his mechanic I believe cost him £400. One thing it will do is spice things up next Sunday when Josh comes back with Sheffield. -
Well its either the racing or Pizza Boy is brilliant company.

That s why I said fine for him and failure to control his mechanic which is what Vissing cop on that night. The money he earn't from the meeting will have gone in fines. -

he will more than likely cop a hefty fine for him and his mechanic. Don't think he will get a ban, if did then it would more than likely be suspended. -
A Premier League average of nearly 7 points A European Under 21 title And 4th Place in the World Under 21's. I reckon that the price maybe a bit more inflated now.
-
Well he is part of the Drillerman team.

Very sad news I do feel for the band of supporters who since coming into the Premier League have never missed a meeting at Sheffield when Plymouth were in town.

It would appear that Dimitri now has a wrist injury. http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/speedway/sheffield-tigers/nervous-sheffield-tigers-boss-relied-on-text-messages-for-play-off-news-1-8159856

Totally agree on both counts, Kyle has proved to be an excellent signing and hopefully he will want to stay with the club for next season.

interesting fact on did get an advantage from the Guest riders/Rider Replacement used at the meeting yesterday. Basing on each riders last performance Brough Park for Sheffield against the their replacementsit does come with some interesting figures, and some that does surprise me. Jason Garrity 12 points from 5 rides, replaced by Ricky Wells 10 points from 6 rides Simon Stead 6 points from 5 rides, replaced by Rider Replacement 4 rides 3 points Dimitiri Berge 5 rides 2 points, replaced by Lewis Kerr 5 rides 10 points. Josh Bates 6 rides 13 points, replaced by Rob Branford 5 rides 4 points. I make that; Tigers 21 rides 33 points Replacements 20 rides 27 points No advantage gain according to that.

Maybe the Newcastle Promotion decided that the Quarter Final against Sheffield was one that they could overcome Sheffield over two legs pretty easily. Or maybe having the Scunthorpe meeting later on in the season would mean the meeting would have no meaning at a later date and the crowd would be poor.

I don't think that Sheffield fans are making anymore of this than it was a Sheffield select side that came to Brough Park, and got a result. In saying that no Sheffield fan gave the patched up side a cat in hells chance even before wheel was turned Guest rider or not. Yes we had 4 riders missing. The top two were injured and have not ridden since their injures which happen after the cut off for signing riders so we could not sign replacements for those riders. The other two missing were riding in the same meeting as Robert Lambert which was an FIM meeting and they are honour bound to ride in that meeting. I can understand the frustration but there is not much more we could have done. End of the day I think Newcastle should have had enough fire power to overcome 6 point lead that we had, but they didn't.
