NEVER said they dont have the balls to ride the bike ... I said they donthave the balls to try the top level ... and I stand by that Yes the sport is in a bit of a mess ... but we still have lots of prime time live coverage every week, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week ... only football can hold a light to speedway for that

Being the Elite League snob that I freely admit to being, I do not think there are that many young brits who have the balls try it at the top level for any period of time ... Chris Neath being the prime example, a few years ago he was offred the chance of a full time ride at Wolves ... he chose as many do now to take the easier picking of the 2nd Division ... not major problem, I think its ok to understand the level of your ability. So they will not progress to be top riders anyway due to the lack of top opposition .... so maybe they are being done a favour here ?

Shawn & Kelly Moran along with Lance King & Ronnie Correy ... you could find these guys in "clubs" most nights when not racing

Not really true, the most famous stadium in the world has been demolished and replaced with a ultra modern showpiece .... best track and place for a world final .... odsal by a distance

At first I would have said the GPs give you a true world champion, but if you look back over the years how many times was the 1 off final won by a non deserving rider ... I would say only when Jerzy & Egon won it ... most of the time the rider was one of the top 5 in the world at the time

Both Sam & Ronnie were excellent starters & very fast when in front, Peter & Chris could not gate for toffee ... & by the time they had got round the first bend Sam & Ronnie would just be a dot on the horizon .... as for Phil & Alan, now I KNOW your having a giraffe

Sudden Sam Ermolenko & Rocket Ronnie Correy .... they would take PC & Mort any day of the week Peter Karlsson & Mikael Karlsson around Monmore were untouchable 95% of the time ... the other 5% they had ef Hans Nielsen & Edgar Stangelands bike ... I am sure when Hans first came over he used to fake ef so he could borrow it for important races But the best pairing of all Sophie Blake & Charlie Webster in a paddling pool full of jelly

Yeah ... you know the lots of different shapes and sizes where you dont just have to wind it on and hold on for dear life ... you know the ones where you have to use your "brains" Yeah proper speedway as you call it ... variation the spice of life
