  1. I assume the changes were before the BSPA on Friday, as all changes have to be approved e.g. Ipswich. I guess no other promoters wanted to sign them so even had they been told it wouldn't have got them another berth. Had they been told they might have "leaked" the news before Lynn wanted it released.
  2. Couldn't agree more with that last sentence. I'd give it a hundred likes if I could
  3. Did the Gomolski deal fail for the same reason as the Ipswich swap/debacle which is explained elsewhere.
  4. i Wonder if Ipswich rang Batchelor? Average wise no but attitude and commitment wise it's a vast improvement IMO
  5. I assumed the 28th was the deadline for telling BSPA, Today is the deadline for telling fans Hence the Ipswich debacle on the 30th
  6. Hopefully someone fully committed. Average immaterial after that.
  7. Not in the least bit surprised. Buster had to do something and it was either get rid of Batchelor or Holder......or maybe both
  8. You are not alone. Maybe the club thinks the same cos all I've seen is daily tweets about next Mondays telly match Not sure how effective their PR for that will be tho as they are only preaching to the converted.
  9. I thought Lynn had long tractor racing delays but think this is longer
  10. Sorry if you think anything I wrote was moaning. Wasn't meant to be merely pointing out that the reduced admission is 1 BT sport realise empty stadia do nothing for its viewers or the sport 2 having agreed to reduce the price it's an ideal opportunity to do some PR and increase the fan base Maybe I shouldn't bother. The only incentive unless it's promoted is to existing fans. Belle Vue (and other clubs) managed to promote the offers well. A three quarter full stadium came across well on TV, the increased atmosphere of full terraces might have encouraged some TV viewers to give live speedway a go. Here comes the negative bit....we will probably never know at Lynn cos past history shows promotion is just about extinct in Norfolk
  11. What you say may well true, I'm not technical enough to know. If the silencers make riding that dangerous why have the riders not refused to use them?
  12. The reduced price is part of the BT deal and has been done by all clubs for televised matches. It is not a KL initiative. Reducing the prices is useless unless it leads to increased attendance, which means someone getting of their backside and PROMOTING the meeting. I have put a suggestion ( reasonably cheap) on the Kings Lynn thread. I'm sure the club would welcome all suggestions and take action on most of them ....ooops I just woke up.
  13. but they can only do what their employer tells them to do and organises for them. Here's a hint for them print a load of flyers take a pile to Searles, another to Manor Park Hunstanton and a couple more to the holiday parks in Heacham. That should take about an hour. That's more than has been done in the last couple of years and who knows might just tempt a few holiday makers in cos all the holiday parks are packed with families at the moment. You and others often accuse me of being negative but at least I've come up with a positive suggestion. I think someone would have told the Chapmans what was put on here. Jonathan is not the sort to waste his time.
  14. So who do you suggest gets out doing the PR then? Jonathan has stated he is willing to help the club. I think the ball is firmly in the clubs court.
  15. Well let's hope they actually do some extra PR around the town and surrounding area. If not what's the point of reducing the price? TBH can't see it happening cos it has to be thought about, organised and someone take responsibility for doing it. Now just who would that be let's have a think.. Rob Lyon....no stepped down Dale Allitt.....off sick A N Other......is there one Buster Chapman....... This is a perfect time for someone with good PR ideas to do the club some good. His name is on the tip of my tongue....think it begins with a J
  16. Agree with that but I honestly don't think having Holder back in rearranged matches will have crossed Busters mind
  17. If all the riders had made a stand there would have been far less of a problem. One or two riders having tantrums is not the way to do it.
  18. I think what the riders did was unprofessional. Buster IMHO has a perfect right to tell the truth about why tonights meeting has been called off. Riders have to realise their actions have consequences. Fans have complained that they have been kept in the dark, me included, Buster now says it how it is and you call him unprofessional. You can't have it both ways. http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/king-s-lynn-stars-chief-pulls-plug-on-meeting-as-rob-lyon-takes-a-step-back-1-5123163?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=dlvr.it words from Rob Lyon
  19. Already some Buster comments on there and TBH it's hard to disagree with him. Wonder whether Chris Holders promised statement will appear anytime soon
  20. BT sport have a televised meeting scheduled for Sept 4th, with semi play offs on 11th and 18th so probably Sept 4th.
  21. King's Lynn Speedway‏ @KLSpeedway 12m12 minutes agoMore POSTPONED | King's Lynn v Wolves tonight is off. We are not prepared to take the risk with riders under current conditions. Apologies. That's the full tweet. It stopped raining about 30 minutes ago and the sun is now doing it's best to break thro, altho I can understand the reluctance with some riders being allergic to water
  22. Started raining about 20 minutes ago but it's not heavy
  23. Well a row boat across the wash and then down the A17 might be a possibility hey Mimmo Weather update 2 miles from track.... dry, cloudy, very little breeze
  24. If this goes ahead, a word of caution traffic wise. It's the Sandringham Flower Show tomorrow which always adds extra traffic to help it along there are a couple of road closures in the town itself which have caused rush hour chaos. So use the by pass and allow a bit of extra time.....or alternatively pray for a sunny evening and a sun delay
