  1. So did he have a medical certificate? If he accepted a guest booking for the second meeting in a double header he should have prepared for the possibility of damaged bikes. Riders are meant to be professionals which means having the equipment to fulfil their commitments. That might sound harsh but paying fans are the ones suffering.
  2. If he accepted the booking, is not injured (with a medical certificate) he should face disciplinary action. Same as Holder IMHO.
  3. So Rye House jumped the gun. Hasn't stopped folk blasting Buster tho
  4. I believe there is a big charity banger meeting there today. Probably been in the fixture list long before the speedway fraternity gave a thought to fixture planning;)
  5. Very strange if you believe what some BV fans tell us about Buster and his all ranging powers
  6. 1 Maybe after all the comments about double headers Buster has had second thoughts about another one, if indeed it was ever AGREED in the first place. 2 Perhaps they have listened to the complaints from fans about riders doubling up/guesting and affecting their own teams chances of progress has made then think of the scenario of a rider being injured in the first match and having to be replaced by a Poole rider, the team that Rye are vying for over a play off place. They may have listened to the fans 3 Possibly Lynn offered Rye three dates, but on all of those dates Rye couldn't field a full team so they unilaterally decided to announce the date hoping to put pressure on Lynn 4 Maybe it is all agreed but by some kind of oversight Lynn simply haven't informed the fans, and will do so at 7 o'clock on Thursday. It could be any or none of the above but the likelihood is :- 1 Possibly 2 Never in a month of Sundays 3 Possibly but in that case they don't know Buster very well 4 Probably
  7. I couldn't give a tinkers cuss which tuner did which engine. I cannot SEE that, it doesn't entertain me. All it does IMHO is add to the cost. but then I'm simply a fan of 50+ years who remembers JAP vs JAWA, the coming of the Street variations, the invasion of the 4 valve and the demise of the 2 valve. I would add that the QUALITY of the racing has not improved so to my female logical brain what's the point I probably could name a couple of tuners because commentators repeat them ad nauseum, but haven't a clue which rider uses which. If discussions about tuners are necessary to keep fans entertained the product itself is not good enough
  8. Fair enough, I look forward to reading it War and Peace length is no problem, it's likely to be a long long winter
  9. I'm assuming you were a fan on the terraces before becoming involved with Niklas and I was wondering how your views on the sport and the way it is run have changed since then. If indeed they have. I appreciate you may not have the time (or even the inclination ) to reply but I for one would find your views very interesting.
  10. Sorry GRW but Briggs riding in a World Championship and Carter riding for the British title are totally different to a young rider risking making an existing injury far worse in a match that to be honest meant nothing and is 3 days before he is due to ride in a European final.
  11. I would think Lynn would be reluctant to stage another double header after last night. At some point common sense must kick in.
  12. Lynn have now apologised for the "oversight" in not informing fans of Palm-Toft's absence. So far they have not apologised for advertising 17/18 year old admission at £10 when in fact it should have been 16/17 year old for £10. Buster was swift to sack riders for not performing their job to the standard he required or expected, no doubt we will hear very quickly that the person responsible for the above will have been relieved of their post. I supported Buster over the Holder/Batchelor affair but it's time he realised the rest of his "team" need to perform well also. Fans can forgive riders being injured/out of form etc but there is no excuse for poor communication in this day and age.
  13. Can't help the truth and that's what happened. Shock, horror reactions would be lying. As others have said a d/h against same oppostion was a disaster waiting to happen and as it's pretty obvious Buster has driven over a herd of black cats......... You know damn well I don't want any club to close but that means promoters actually engaging brain and also showing fans respect.
  14. For those who don't do twitter.... David Wootton‏ @WestNorfolkBees 2m2 minutes agoMore @KLSpeedway get the facts. Buster and Wolves wanted to call 2nd meeting off. Buster wanted to refund fans £8 each. But ref would not allow DW is Nik Porsing's manager so I guess he knows what he's talking about. The ref is Barbara Horley.
  15. I believe once the referee is in attendance only he/she can call a meeting off. So not Busters call to make.
  16. What is really sad is that in the past myself and my daughter were massive Lynn fans and we are both sitting here laughing hysterically. You really couldn't make it up.
  17. Seems no Robert Lambert for meeting 2..or someone is having a joke on twitter
  18. He is a local lad who I believe rode in the now defunct KL NL team.
  19. I for one would have had some sympathy for Buster up until the 7 pm announcement that Palm-Toft wasn't there. That was totally out of order and took me back to the 60s and 70s when fans never found out about missing riders till they had paid their money. The only sympathy I have tonight is for anyone gullible enough to have paid £25. Another rules question. As Lynn now have Porsing and Jonasson out injured and are already using r/r does that mean they have to go with one reserve?
  20. I remember Kozza Smith being pulled from a meeting at Reading by a medic because of exhaustion after 6 (?) rides. Wonder how Auty will be after 14 rides?
  21. Just seen a f/b post of the sunset there and to be fair the crowd looks to be a reasonable size.....would be bigger but there's a queue at the pit gate waiting to try kevlars on to ride in meeting 2
  22. Well a few are. I'm looking forward to hearing Trees take on all this
