  1. Hope it goes well mate. I have fond memories of my trips to Edinburgh, there are some good folks up there
  2. Well as Rob is now the promoter it will be interesting to see if he tells Buster to get off the track and meetings move faster. Family have decided not to go tonight cos they don't want to be standing about whilst it's still quite chilly. Comment was if it definitely started at 7.30 (as stated in PR) and all over by 9.15 we would go. Guess I'll have to wait another week for a peaceful evenings TV viewing What also got mentioned was Bob Dugard was notorious for track grading but we can never remember too much standing about or late finishes at Eastbourne.
  3. Damn you Trees my screen is now covered in coffee. Rob n Dale set the prices....now let me think for a moment......
  4. No but I know someone who might and they asked if I knew how much they were. Maybe I shouldn't bother trying to find out for them EDIT Yeah they have just tweeted with season ticket prices.....one day before the season starts - well 32 hours to be precise
  5. Have Lynn announced season ticket prices yet. Just looked on the official site and cannot find anything. Last re season tickets is in latest news dated Mar 28th. Maybe they aren't doing season tickets this year
  6. Agreed. Maybe the ref should be fined every time he fails to do this Come on Gemini when have you ever known speedway and sensible to go together Me neither. Maybe it was those old style helmets that used to have peaks on the front that stopped the sun dazzle
  7. Simple take your speedway clothes to work in a bag, change when you finish and eat at or near the stadium.
  8. Judging by the number of comments, a start time of 7.30 is what customers want.
  9. Sun delays usually happen around 8 o'clock so tapes up at 7.30, interval at 8. Where's the problem And why is the track still being prepared at 7.30 sometimes still is at 7.45, Can you imagine Old Trafford 10 minutes before kick off and they are still painting the white lines! It's about having respect for paying customers by being ready.
  10. Blue and gold are the colours on the King's Lynn coat of arms. Probably why those colours are used by the footie team as well. Seems there's also a pelican on the coat of arms so be grateful the hockey club got there first with that one
  11. OK strange that all the other team members managed to get them in time
  12. Aren't testimonials run by a committee? Never a plan for brevity, however well intentioned.
  13. Possibly because the promoters didn't like being told they could and should do better Their attitude is not unlike some fans to be honest.
  14. What will happen to Aussie riders after Brexit? presumably UK visa won't necessarily allow free access to Poland...or will it?
  15. Strange that the vast majority accused and alleging bullying and trolling on BSF are male. How's that for diversion tactics lol.
  16. Danny I think the point GRW is making is there are non GP weekends when Holder would be available, as you say there not many GP riders in the UK this season so it makes no sense for any team to go without their GP rider. Then they wonder why fans turn their back on the sport.
  17. And Sky are a charity of course!!!
  18. Trouble is Trees you are almost unique. Most people like the extra entertainment, especially if they don't get charged for it
  19. He most certainly is not. Buster has gone up the refs box many times, the most amusing was when he cleaned the windows to allow the ref to see better. I also recall him offering his own glasses to a ref (possibly Mick Bates) The crowd loved it, or hated it depending on who they supported, never caused any hassle and kept us entertained during the non racing minutes. Sadly such actions are frowned on nowadays and would probably end up in a fine. One former promoter, a member on here, would gesticulate with the ref from the centre green at least once a meeting and he did it specifically to entertain the fans. He told me several times he would phone the ref from the centre green, throwing his arms about to look annoyed but was simply telling the ref that it was all an act.
  20. It takes two to cause an argument either on or offline. Lets be honest no one except those two give a toss so in the politest possible way could you both shut up. Thank you.
