  1. In a recent interview for Ipswich( the day before we were told on here that King had signed for King's Lynn) Danny says he would love to ride for Ipswich & Coventry again next year if rules allow it at the AGM. Seems a strange thing to say if he had already signed for King's Lynn. Also no announcement anywhere of King's Lynn switching back to Wed nights either which they would have to do if he rides for them. If he's been signed for a month then why no announcement? I guess we will see when either club announces their team.
  2. Swindon Speedway ‏@SwindonSpeedway SIGNING | We are delighted to welcome British youngster ADAM ELLIS to the Abbey for 2017!
  3. Leaves 28.75 for your other 5 riders. Which 5 riders would you like to see fit?
  4. Adam Ellis has signed for Swindon which will make him a heatleader. I guess they are most likely thinking once his average drops, they will have points spare
  5. Adam Ellis signs for Swindon. Really surprised they have signed him on that average as makes him a heatleader.
  6. Not if talks true that once teams are made up to 50 for original team building, a different average is brought in for team changes. If true then I think that's a great idea to stop manipulation of the rules
  7. Hans has announced he's at Poole next year. I will add him on to their team list. (10.01)
  8. Riders come and go at clubs. I remember Holder missing British speedway and riding abroad before instead. He spent a lot of time slagging off the British tracks including Poole so might not be a bad thing for him as now he doesn't have to ride them. As for Ward, if he turns his back on the club that he's meant to love and who have helped him so much just because they can't fit one of his friends in then he needs to grow up.
  9. One night yes, what about a whole season like 2015 😉 On a 10 average yes. With him and Jack signed, you have 32 left for your other 5 riders
  10. When was the last time you watched him at Coventry 😂 Hardly gets around easy. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/15837/coventry-poole-el-15-2016
  11. Terrible number 1. He's really bad on some tracks.
  12. Good news for the rest of us then 😉
  13. I wonder if Swindon will waste points again on Nick Morris
  14. Klindt to Swindon is the latest rumour
  15. Really hope Belle Vue run next year. One of the best tracks in the country
  16. Bit of a risk on a 7+ average for his first year in the EL but I guess time will tell. Shame for Holder but to be fair he did spend a lot of time moaning about the British tracks including Pooles. The question is, if Poole aren't willing to sign Holder on a 12 average, will they attempt to sign KK who is only 1pt lower or go for somebody like Hans?
  17. I have to say I agree. Would much rather have KK for Coventry but only if there is less fixture clashes. It is a possibility but depends if he wants to ride here next year. He also has a 11+ average
  18. Looks like the rumours about his arguement might be true. If that's the case then I can't see him at Coventry either
  19. Have you watched Garrity much last year? In his last 6 meetings for the bees he scored 7,16 ,7, 11, 13, 11 with injuries so more than capable of scoring up to his average and that was in the main team. He's using his 8+ PL average which he earnt so not inflated. With teams looking to be even weaker this year, he should average that again easily. I like Rory but I think the 3 above have declined over the last 3 years whilst Garrity is young and improving. Rory's injuries have sadly affected his riding a lot. As for Batchelor, I hope you sign him as will mean we don't. He won't race if there's a few drops of rain and spends a lot of time giving up at the back if he's not out the gate fast now. He was a good rider but his negative attitude gets in the way
  20. Not really. Garrity is a PL number 1 and earns his EL average riding in the top 5 all season and that was carrying injuries for most of the season. He is capable of scoring his average. I'm hoping he's back at Coventry
  21. PIRATES IN SEARCH FOR NEW SPONSOR 8th November 2016 As British speedway heads into a new era,Poole chief Matt Ford is on the search for a new main team sponsor for the 2017 season The two-year deal with Readypower, a plant hire company, is heading towards its conclusion and company owners Rick Frost and Julie Mahoney have intimated that they will playing a less active role in speedway and have chosen not to extend the arrangement. Poole boss Matt Ford admitted "Our association with Readypower was a very good arrangement and working with Rick and Julie was an absolute pleasue and I can't thank them enough for the support that they have given us. But as with many things in life the good doesn't last for ever and they have chosen to take a step back and so we now have an opening for another company to become involved with us." "We are keen to hear from any organisations that feel they might be able to offer us sponsorship in exchange for plenty of advertising and exposure. Our main team partners will become part of the team's name and through our television associates we can gain publicityin the region of 150 countries. Whether it be the Mediterranean or the Pacific Rim, we are shown live and our main sponsor is always prevalent by name, which we extend through all media outlets. Any company or individual seeking further information should telephone Poole Speedway on 01202 681145 or email information@poolepirates.co.
