  1. Garrity is a PL number one and capable of scoring that average. I would have him over Ellis any day of the week
  2. Exactly. If Poole thought he was that good and had lots of potential then they could have kept him on a 7average. Why should rules be changed for them. They are lucky Newman is so poor in the PL and still only on a 6 average as they wouldn't have kept him if on a 8+ one
  3. With the Premiership and Championship looking to use 2pt riders, this could have an effect on NL and how much the riders are missing
  4. On a 7+ average which would see him riding as a heatleader?
  5. Shame for Ellis but no club will touch him on that average. He isn't really capable of scoring it each week in the main team. I guess his downfall was settling for the easier rides of the NL rather than riding in the PL which would have helped his average for this year. Can he still ride NL next year or is his average too high now it's been inflated?
  6. Sorry didn't realise it was unofficial. Just saw the title and headline they were using
  7. It's been confirmed by SpeedwayGB account on Twitter that there is no limit to how many Double up riders a team has this year. However if a team has a lot then they risk clashes.
  8. King has said he definitely wants to ride for Ipswich next year and from recent interviews with Chris Louis, I think that will happen. Owning somebody's contract means nothing if they want to race elsewhere. Look at Kerr, Adrian, Shamak and Batchelor Is it confirmed that only 2 D/U riders are allowed in a team? If so that's going to be really hard for team building, esp when 2 Brits must be included and most teams need low average riders due to points limit.
  9. Wouldn't Porsing and possibly Batchelor be riding in Denmark if you go back to Wed? King would be riding for Ipswich if Thursday's Not a bad team with the weaker limit. No real number 1 though
  10. Not sure Hansen would ride for us. Danny Ayres would be good
  11. With them all having 9+ averages, it wouldn't leave much for their last 4 riders.
  12. I don't envy the promoters. The point limit seems too low.
  13. Very week. More like a PL team with 6 DU riders
  14. I personally don't want Bottling Bjerre anywhere near our team
  15. Didn't he miss 7 home meetings for Belle Vue due to it being a Friday track. I would be happy with Fricke. 9+ average is very high though. Who would people want as our min 2 Brits in the team?
  16. Is that just rumoured? Would that mean no King 😕
  17. You have forgot to make average changes under new rules so have the wrong averages. Lindgren. 10.09 Masters 8.88 Nilsson 9.63 Nicholls 9.23 Harris 9.21 Kerr 6.59 Batchelor 7.36 60.99
  18. I think if he can commit to all the fixtures then he's worth it. He has a 11 average but he is capable of scoring that. AJ has the same average.
  19. I liked him but on his average there are better riders out there. He had some good meetings at home but was very poor away. Would be harder for him in the old format as well when not in protected heats
  20. The problem now is going to be if more riders can double up, will there now be even more fixture clashes. Any idea if the 2 DU riders per team still applies and does it include reserves?
  21. Isn't it only an assumption in the Polish Press at the moment? Can see them both being at Poole though
  22. Great news about Jim Lynch. Very professional and a positive move by Horton. Now we need to announce a strong reserve and number 1. Saturday November 05, 2016 COVENTRY Speedway are delighted to welcome Jim Lynch as their new team manager going into the 2017 SGB Premiership season. Lynch takes over from Gary Havelock, who left the Buildbase Bees last month after four years in charge to front up a new consortium in charge of Championship club Berwick. The Bees new boss is no stranger to Brandon as that was the venue where he first watched the sport, and he spent around 20 years as a supporter on the terraces at Coventry before becoming involved professionally. Lynch enjoyed major success as a promoter and team manager at Peterborough in 1998-2003, an era which saw the Panthers win titles at both Premier and Elite League levels. He came close to repeating the feat in charge of Reading in 2006, missing out in one of the all-time classic Grand Finals, and his most recent stint in management was with Belle Vue four years ago. Lynch said: Ive always got on well with the people at Coventry, and in fairness when Mick (Horton) approached me it was probably the only place I would have done it. I didnt really have to think much about it, it was just a case of setting out the way we both wanted things to be done, and there havent been any issues in any of our discussions. I dont see being out for a few years as a problem, I havent been out of it that long and speedway really doesnt change much, be it with riders or promoters. In fact, Ive come back at a time when certain rules such as the race format have reverted back to when I was doing it before, and if anything some of the regulations which came in over the last two or three years didnt make the managers job that easy. Im really looking forward to it, more-so because of it being Coventry. Im very enthusiastic to get started, I know the Coventry fans want success and thats what well be looking to deliver. Lynch and Horton have already held discussions over possible options for team-building in the wake of this weeks BSPA AGM, which saw a 50-point limit imposed on top-flight teams. And Horton is looking forward to resuming a working relationship with Lynch which dates right back to the early days of the Elite League when they were part of the same consortium in charge at Peterborough. Horton said: Jim is experienced and knowledgeable, and he has a lot of respect from riders. We had some applications, but the more I thought about it the more I felt this would be right for the club. Even when I was running Peterborough I knew he always had a soft spot for Coventry, as they were both his local clubs. We got together to sort out the deal and were both very happy. My job now is to build the team, weve got an idea who we want, and naturally we want a team thats going to compete at the top. I wouldn't mind seeing Kaspazak /AJ at number 1 King and Garrity back. If it is true that King is leaving then Kylmakorpi. Hope King stays though. Palm toft is great on a 5 average. I think Josh Bates is a must.
  23. Swap Grajczonek for Garrity and that would be good. I would be happy with Kaspazak or AJ at number 1.
  24. That looks weaker than some of this year's PL teams
