  1. As a PL rider he has been developing but He wasn't good at EL level when he rode for Swindon. I think when you look at him compared to reserves like Bates & Klindt, I think Rye House may struggle esp now reserve races aren't protected anymore.
  2. I thought they looked likely to come to the tapes with BSPA support?
  3. That's a shame as I would have loved to have him back with Coventry. Our loss is Poole's gain.
  4. He is a heatleader now though so I can't see Ellis scoring the inflated average. It's a big step to go from a good reserve to a heatleader. The old format means he won't be protected anymore.
  5. I have. Still nothing to do with Coventry. Every time somebody with English as a second language misspells a word, it doesn't mean they are joining Coventry. Think he's just made a spelling mistake if this is what you are talking about. It's nice to bee important ...but it's more important to bee nice 😉😉👊🏻
  6. It doesn't look as bad now Swindon's team is complete. Depends on how the other teams look once completed
  7. Both Zach and Andersen rode at King's Lynn in the U21 championship http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/15726/world-final-kings-lynn-2016
  8. Zach has in the NL. He's already rode at Coventry, King's Lynn, Rye House & Belle Vue But different though coming out against NL riders and coming out in unprotected heats against Lindgren, King, Harris etc. He's a rider who should add abit of excitement. It might be a disaster or it could work out really well like Pawlicki did when Rosco gave him a chance. What average does he come in on?
  9. I think there could be a chance for Rory now there is a change of manager
  10. Whilst some of their riders may have a drop in average, the limit for team changes will be 42 not 50. This means they would have to drop a lot to make changes
  11. Those of us who have no transport wouldn't be able to travel to Leicester so can't see the crowds being great. It would also show that the stadium was no longer needed as we technically had somewhere else to race which would make it easier to get planning permission to build house on Brandon without a new stadium being in place
  12. Completely agree. It all seems very strange. The new owners announce they are sponsoring the bees and Horton says a potential 3 years lease. The team is announced and then all of a sudden over a weekend the stadium is taken apart and we are told he had no attention of running at the same time as the remainder of the team being announced. It's unfair on the fans who have been loyal supporters for years and also to the riders that have signed
  13. By Coventry Stox, Nov 29 2016 01:50PM We are disappointed that Mick Horton has decided to issue a statement that infers he is shocked and unaware of the current removal of our property from the Coventry Stadium site whilst on holiday. He knew as he has been in touch with us, with many others in speedway numerous times every day by text and e mail until 2.15pm yesterday when we received a e-mail from his lawyer that he would not be proceeding with the agreement. Mick has also told his riders that he would understand if they decided to race elsewhere and we have always known and now confirmed that he had no intention of racing next year. We will be making a full statement in due course. 😥😥😥 End of Coventry speedway after all these years.
  14. Photos show all the seats have now gone and the track barrier has been taken down 😞 Does not look like there is much left. Could sit on the concrete as long as it's safe around the area.
  15. That's what I thought. Sounds like he's attending to run but depends on if he can afford to replace all the items. Not looking good
  16. Good idea as otherwise teams would all be changing once the large averages drop. Stops too much manipulation
  17. They would come in on the inflated average listed on the BSPA site. That is now their average regardless of when they sign http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/2017_team_building_numerical.pdf
  18. Simon Lambert will have a testimonial at King's Lynn in March. I didn't realise he had been racing that long. You would imagine that would suggest he will ride for King's Lynn next year. He was having a good season until his injury
  19. Isn't that when the first set of averages come in usually. Won't give a lot of time for changes to be made.
  20. Matt Ford has confirmed that when new averages come in May, the point limit for making changes to teams will be 42 not 50. This way it allows for the points most riders may drop due to their inflated averages
  21. What 5pt riders are there out there that Swindon fans would like to see complete the team?
  22. The side was looking quite good until the lower riders were announced however Swindon were always going to have to sacrifice a bit lower down as a lot of points went on Doyle. Zach is a very good rider in the NL and has ridden on some of the away tracks. He will struggle against reserves like Newman, Bates, Sarjeant & maybe Clegg, but might mix it abit with those teams using 2 or 3 point riders. He is good to watch. Emil on the other hand might have been okay at reserve but I think he makes the top 5 weak The teams will look weaker than other years due to the changes. However Poole & Wolves seem to have still made it work whilst Swindon & Coventry are looking average
  23. 4.39 is listed as his PL average on BSPA.
  24. Danny King will double up with Ipswich again next year.
  25. Same here. Think he would really struggle even in a watered down EL
